Oh I could have spent hours just sitting in peace at Peggy’s Cove. What a tranquil place. Loved the lighthouse ornament! Thank you for sharing the shows! She has such beautiful talent. I am glad she was able to walk around with you so you could enjoy time together. Awesome that you found a thrift store! I love that people are finding your ducks. Maybe you will meet someone who found one. So glad you are having another wonderful trip so far or rather had another wonderful trip!

I live in Halifax and watch all of the cruise ships (and cargo ships) come in and out of the harbour! The glass you would have seen through the windows when you were pulling in was at NSCAD, the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. There are 3 great antique shops in Halifax, and now we have several "vintage co-ops" popping up! The big white church on the corner of Prince and Barrington (where you were happy you finally found Prince St.) is the oldest building in Halifax, built in 1750. I don't know if your guide told you, but back in the "good old days", the lighthouse in Peggy's Cove was a post office and had their own special stamp and system "cancellation stamp" (the ink that goes over the stamp showing the location of mailing and date, to prevent someone from using the stamp again). It was closed in 2009 due to storm damage. I hope you had a great time exploring Halifax and Sydney!

Thank you SO much for sharing this information! I did get my passport stamped at Peggy’s Cove-so that was fun! I loved the time spent there and would have liked to stay much longer! 🥰

@@CarolinaPrincess-STP Maybe you'll be back someday :) The thing I like about the Halifax peninsula is how walkable it is, but public transit is also a good option (not to mention the electric scooters you rent by the hour if you like a bit of a thrill!) and the ferry is a fun option! If you get a rental car then zooming around the province is fun, like a trip to Great Village Antiques and the 4 Points Vintage Market (in fact, all of Mahone Bay is a must-see!), or if you like lobster than the town of Barrington (aka Lobster Capital Of Canada) is a must-see! I'm glad you had a good time!

Most Canadians would say Sydney Cape Breton. Even though it’s in the province of Nova Scotia. Cape Teton is known for the best fiddlers in the world.

Great video - but rather than talking over the shows because of music, you can just upload shorter clips so they don't get tagged. I'm sure the chatter during the performances was distracting to those around you.

Thanks for watching! 🥰 We’ve tried that, but we received a copy-right strike from KZbin. We ended up having to delete the upload and voice over. Anything over 7 seconds is subject to copy-right and there’s no real background noise in the main stage theater with the doors closed. They are awesome shows! 🤗

I live in Nova Scotia. It is wonderful, beautiful with fun places and friendly people (mostly). BUT Peggys Cove ? C'mon ! It's a light house on a rock. With stupid tourists slipping on the rocks and splash goes another.

It is a very beautiful place and we found everyone to be friendly. Unfortunately, when taking a cruise, our options for touring are limited to a menu with a tight timeline. I’m just grateful to have been able to experience just a small portion of Nova Scotia. If ever given the chance to visit again, we certainly would love to explore through the eyes of a local. Thank you for watching!🥰
