@vizakbruce-go1gz ये जो हल्का हल्का शुरूर है ... शराब पीना सिखा दिया। The state of normal consciousness of society is state of unconsciousness for sants because in that state we are ignorant about ourselves (self-knowledge) called as आत्मज्ञान in upnishad. Sant kabir used to call it as आतमज्ञान। And when the sants try to dictate this truth the societal people call them as pagal,sharabi etc. Using the same analogy sufi sant has written this song. I am considering that you know the meaning of shurur:- When calling of truth comes into our (unconscious) life then I get shurur to have it more. Sharab Pina Sikha Diya means self knowledge when gets into our life (it is so true) we get addicted to it's like alcohol for sharabi. And since society is considering sant as sharabi saying anything so he is singing if telling you the truth means sharabi then I am addicted to this knowledge like sharabi addicted to alcohol. For understanding the concept of self knowledge you can read baba bulleshah,sant kabir, Swami Vivekananda and in the present context Acharya Prashant has explained it beautifully you can also join his live session and ask any question if you have.
