the direction in this scenario is arbitrary and is not defined by the problem. however the magnitudes will be the same due to symmetry.

isnt charge density supposed to be ( q n ) supposing that charge density is the amount of charge per unit volume and n is just the number of charge carriers per unit volume?

For the last example, instead of using V/d to find E like u did, I used Gauss' law ( q/A.e0 ) but I didn't get the same result I'm a bit confused

He also divided it by the drift velocity, which is in m/s, which results in cubic meters.
