Nice work Gabriele. I like your idea to install a sacrificial mahogany or teak plug protecting the wall by the foot pump. You will avoid many scratches, and in 10 years you can just renew the plug if necessary. Good thinking...

good day sea4see, thank you for your great films. I am always addicted to the new films and I'm particularly grateful for them in this extraordinary time. Your boat will be much better than the original. I have an HR 353 myself and have received a lot of help from you that I could apply to me. Should you ever come to the Baltic Sea I cordially invite you to Rügen, here is my boat. I live in the middle of Germany in the near of Weimar here you also invite. Thank you very much Christoph ps. my English is bad,

Gabriele it is too late now but if you ever need to change your refer system you should consider using a holding plate refer. It is much more energy efficient. Also the plate is easier to install than the evaporator and it is more durable. The previous owner of my boat used an evaporator system in very hot areas of Mexico, however she was unable to make enough solar electricity to keep the refer running. So she switched to a holding plate refer and it used half the electric! The company that made the system in the US is Technautics and they ship all over the world.

Hey Ben ! Thx for tip, I saw that sistem but the Price here in Italy is probably double!! Need to pay also tax of importation 22% ....we will se in the future! But thank for the website I bookmarked it!!!

Looking great once again! That one unconnected pin in the fridge compressor is for a cooling fan (marked - F). I was actually surprised that the unit did not have one as standard. I installed that same compressor in my previous boat and it came with one. You can boost the efficiency some what if you squeeze a computer fan between the protective metal grille and the condenser. Get a low noise one from a local computer store... :-)

Thx for the tip!!!!

@@sea4see My current setup is at least 15 years old and did not have a cooling fan. I installed one last summer for it. Expecting it to make quite a difference, since the compressor is located in a small space.

Great video! A question: I installed the same kit a year ago but now find it wont cool anymore. It turns on, the fan spins and compressor gets warm - but it does not cool. Any idea why?

Hi Gabriele, great job!! Why did you have a so huge hole in fridge box before the system installation? If it's an orginal setup It is unusual.

Hey Michele! I found like that probably from factory

Ciao Gabriele. Bel lavoro. Ormai manca poco, credo

Credevo mi potessi venire a trovare a Trieste, all'Y.C.Adriaco, dove, saresti mio ospite gradito. La traversata è di meno di 50 Nm

Another fine video Gabriele! But I was surprised by the frustrated "F*ck that I heard. Although most of us know, while doing some project, that we too have yelled some words that would not be good for mixed company. So it is very understandable to most of us. And I am wondering, is F*ck an English word you know, or is it commonly used in Italy. Is there a similar Italian word? Next thing - I don't think Ed visited you at all in this video! YEA! I wonder, is Ed really dead? lol Keep up the good work! Scott W

It was hard to see if the 220v cable was touching or set away from the coils ...they may not actually be that hot, but the cooler the wire, the more efficient it can carry a load . Also, they will have the allowable temperature maximum printed on the insulation..no wish to lecture...just basic info. As I am writing this, English curses come through the speakers....most impressive, completely construction appropriate!
