Thora Hird stars as indefatigable Salvation Army Captain Emily Ridley in this popular sitcom, which reunites her with In Loving Memory creator and writer Dick Sharples. This two-disc set comprises both series, originally running through 1983 to 1984 and also starring Patsy Rowlands (Carry On), Geoffrey Bayldon (Catweazle), Garfield Morgan (The Sweeney) and Gretchen Franklin (EastEnders), with guest appearances from Thora Hird's Last of the Summer Wine co-star Michael Aldridge, Joan Sims, and Countdown legend Richard Whitely.
