This song was written by one of my fellow countrymen "Leonard Cohen" and the best vocal renditions has to be from a fellow Countrywoman - "KD Lang". Now, along comes this extremely talented young lady, and absolutely blows this song right into the stratosphere - she doesn't just "play" the song, she feels it through her instrument, with a talent that is not easy to come by. Thank you for doing this, you have made me very much a fan.

I've always thought of Cohen's song as a triumph of lyrical creativity. He worked on it for years, continually altering the words until he was satisfied that it said what he wanted it to say. This performance revealed to me that he also created a very fine melody to accompany those lyrics. Even without the words, it's still a wonderful, beautiful song.

@@latouselatrec I think maybe it's because most people assume that "Hallelujah" is a religious song, but it is not. It's more a man releasing his demons by admitting his wrongs and reaching a catharsis, a certain healing through the use of the word hallelujah. That being said, I find it an inspirational piece of music because I'm not perfect, and I can use the same catharsis Cohen was after, and Rockmilady plays this so soulfully it helps me achieve just that.
