I’m a fellow Bari sax player, and have always liked the idea of a Bari sax ensemble. I respect how you kept a very dark and pretty tone in the altissimo register, because I also like to test my limits with how high I can play. I’m more of a jazz person, but I can still play elegantly and squeeze 4 octaves out of the Bari, so I’ll have to try the music myself. Also, well done. Knowing how to play the Bari sax really lets me appreciate how difficult of a task you accomplished.

I love this song but never heard it on the bari. First someone said it sounded like a cello. I personally got more of a pipe organ vibe. Definitely. Great job showing the range of the instrument without asking it do something it was naturally designed to do. The thing that made stop and take the time to comment was the use of the pads for the procession. That level of creativity deserves attention. It reminds me of messing around in the band room and showing off our skills to each other and then one player decided to show everyone why she is the player. Well done!

I just checked out your cover of "Shallow" & it's also mega-fabbo. May I request a Thelonious Monk or Steve Lacy arrangement? The overdubbing you do is terrific. Oh my goodness, your altissimo is spot on! I did an SATB arrangement in C specifically so the Bari. can play the low A at the end. Your arrangement is in Bb...is that a low G at the end of the video? Or am I just perceiving it? Just curious. Beautiful playing!
