Hallett Motorcycle Lapping Day and First Time Track Prep on CBR1000RR

This was my first ever track day 6/13/21. I did my best to prep the bike to the regulations on Hallett's website. In this video I do a quick overview of the CBR1000RR prep and then show 10 minutes of GoPro 8 helmet cam footage.
(NOTE: Track regulations require you to take a middle line, with no inside passing. The lines are not necessarily optimal for a racing situation, but still a great time. I did not have tire warmers, so I took it easy on the first lap to get heat in the tires.)
Hallett Motor Racing Circuit is located about 35 miles west of Tulsa. They do about one Motorcycle Lapping Day (MLD) per month weather permitting.

Did the video games "perfect lines" go through your head while running this course? lol

They did...except there were track regulations for always taking the middle lines... so I had to force myself to take their line.... was a blast anyway.

@@DansADV Haha - yeah, makes sense. I just noticed several times you easily caught up to the riders in front of you. ;) Still a really cool experience!

How long does a track day last at there?

About 9 hours..... groups run in 20 min sessions, each group gets between 6 and 8 sessions a day, depending on delays.

That's not bad at all for under $200. I want to go to my first track day next year and that's the closest track to me (about 2 hours away) that I can find. Thank you for replying back to me
