I like cutesy and gothic for Halloween. Lots of Jack O' Lanterns, bats, ghosts, ravens, webs, skulls, and Sleepy Hollow items. I have a lot of blow-molds outside in the yard that I've had for years. Also, I hang some fun flags and use wood signs I have that were hand made by crafters over the years. A bit primitive look on my porch with wood items, some lights and leaf garlands, and I also got some new banners to hang by my garage door this year. I have a carved wood jack O' lantern that a lumberjack made out of a tree stump. It's one of my favorite things to put out every year with a faux lighted candle inside. Got it at a fall festival in the Mts. near where I live. Thanks for showing us all your different wreaths.

AWESOME, I love it!! The black mesh bundles were genius, they are wispy and almost resemble bats. Before the BOO went on, as it was lying on the table, I pictured it being witch’s hair and all it needed was a witch’s face. Great job!

Hey, Mr. Dave! Very cute, playful wreath. I like the tubing. I was never really into decorating specifically for Halloween. I did when the kids were little but they're adults now so I simply put a couple of lighted pumpkins on the front porch and that's it.🎃🎃 However, I do enjoy the Halloween decorations around the neighborhood. Love this one! The black part looks like Medusa hair to me, you could change out the BOO and put in her face. So fun! I used to do cutesy Halloween deco, but now I'm in to the gothic Edgar Allen Poe-ish stuff - beautiful black and dark purple flowers, I have a doormat that has "Quoth the raven, nevermore" I got from Temu, I got a big branch from the park I live next to and painted it black and used it for a broom with a giant witches hat that I also got from Temu. Also did a black faux laather pumpkin frame wreath with a gothic raven pendant and skeleton keys hanging down, with black and purple fowers at the top. I think next year I'm going to do an all-black cat theme.

Boy, do I have a lot to learn. I don't know anything about deco mesh, tulle, and the other things with the exception of pipe cleaners. I am not a wreath maker, but I find myself having to prepare some event posters, and some of your ideas could be very useful. I shall have to study more of your videos. Thank you for doing all this.

I too am not a wreath maker. I love Dave's videos especially when he gives the measurements written out along with the ribbon. I love his teaching methods. I made the mistake in ordering stuff in bulk, so I never have the same work frames nor the same size ribbon or deco mesh. So I don't know how to improvise using my materials on hand? Again, I think Dave this far is my favorite instructor on making deco mesh wreaths. 🎉

Hi Dana, thanks so much. Window ledges can be tricky sometimes as some are so narrow, like mine. You could always see if you can use a pool noodle and attach Christmas decorations to that, then see if you can attach that to the window ledge, or if your window ledge is deep enough, you can jus lay it down like a garland. Hope that helps a bit. 😊

My creepy decor taste sounds the same as yours, Dave. But I also like a little vintage gothic mixed in. For example next year I want to make an apothecary drawer (Bargain Bethany has a great DIY on her channel). I like to add a creepy cloth but this year I bought those black spider lace table cloths from the DT. Im going to make a creepy fortune teller vignette with it. I avoid the cutesy like the plague.

Helloooo Dave! 😆😊 Well. We've owned our place for 4 year's and that's when i started crafting. Unfortunately during the holiday season my living room becomes my crafting area. So i have all the cutesy, horror etc. puked all over my living room that i can't really get a good decor set up yet! 😂😂 Its just me and the husband though and we're so secluded that we don't get trick or treaters.
