Hallowed Sepulchre In Depth Guide - Floor 1 - 4

This guide is now out of date. The timing has changed since this guide was released. Here are a few tips relevant as of May of 2021: When entering floor 1, spam click west. When entering floor 2, spam click northwest. When entering floor 3, spam click northeast. When entering floor 4, spam click west (I haven't reached floor 5). If you get the floor instance, floor 1's southern route, floor 2's northern and western routes, floor 3's eastern route, and both of floor 4's routes will be tick perfect. allowing you to click pre-determined tiles and make it there every time you are the first one there (which is the majority of the time). Here are the specifics: Floor 1's southern route starts with that annoyingly long east-west boomerang. If you are tick perfect, you can completely ignore the boomerang and make it past the first 2 flame statues (but not the entire run of flame statues). If you are tick perfect on running past the subsequent flame statues, you can click the stairs down to the lower part of floor 1 and ignore the arrow statues on 2 conditions: The southern statue cannot fire first, and the northern statue cannot fire second. If the southern statue fires first, you must go to the middle lane before moving forward. This is the worst case scenario because you will lose a tick and have to react if any of the other 2 statues fire next. If the northern statue fires second but the southern statue did not fire first, just keep going down the southern lane for 1 additional tick before diverting toward the stairs. Floor 1's western route is the most awkward with pre-clicking west, but it shouldn't be too hard to reach the statues and get a tick-perfect route to the stairs, completely avoiding that route's boomerang statue and only having a 1/3 chance of having to avoid 1 arrow. Floor 2's western route is the main reason to pre-click northwest. You'll easily dodge the boomerang. The northern route also gets a nice running start toward the jumping stones. The southern route is the most awkward, but arrow statues tend to ruin tick perfection anyway, so that's of little consequence. Floor 3's eastern route benefits from pre-clicking northeast. You will be able to make it to the middle segment and ignore the first set of flame statues. If you want to loot the grapple coffin, there is still a chance to be tick perfect. Click the closest column when you are roughly passing the second statue. If you are tick perfect in looting the coffin on the first attempt and swinging back, don't do anything until the second set of flame statues finishes its rotation. Time your click perfectly and you should be able to run past the statues and the boomerang straight to the beginning of the teleporter/arrow trap (tick perfection is virtually impossible past that point). Floor 4's northern route can be quasi-tick perfected until the teleporter/arrow combo. Click the tile just before the middle tile of the first lightning trap. The instant your true location occupies that tile, click the furthest-ahead safe tile just to the east of the boomerang's lane. As soon as your true location occupies this tile, wait until the first row of teleporters changes. As soon as they change, click the newly active teleporter. As soon as you go through, you can use the teleportation's brief period of immunity to run straight through the boomerang to the safe tile to the south of the arrow lanes. Tick perfection is virtually impossible past this point, but later on this route, you will find a rather annoying arrow/boomerang combo. Just wait for the boomerang to be caught before even attempting to pass. Trust me. Floor 4's southern route can be tick-perfected to the first arrow trap. You can run straight to the safe tile about halfway through the first fire trap. Then, if proceeding perfectly, you can go directly to the furthest-ahead safe square next to the beginning of the fire statue/boomerang combo, completely ignoring the lightning on the way. The boomerang will have been caught before you arrive. Wait until one tick AFTER the statue throws the boomerang again before clicking past the trap. I believe I have even been one tick late on this one and still managed to make it, so it's better to be late than early. The lower part of this route is cancer, so good luck. There are a few other tricks like 3-clicking the entire lower part of floor 2's eastern route to ignore the second set of fire statues. Such things are not too difficult to figure out so keep your eyes open and experiment. Just try running until you get hit and mark the tile before your failure.

How many marks do you get per floor? I saw some other content players only getting like 3 marks for the final floor? Obviously for people who are maxed and don't care about the other loot. Is it faster to camp just the lower floors for marks? Rinse and repeat? Brain dead afk for black graceful?

i did floor 1-4 like in this video and looted every chest because i couldnt get to the 5th floor. on average i would get 10~ marks per run. if you get to floor 5 and can get to the final chest, you would only loot floor 5 and get about 20~ marks average from the 4 chests.

So I have a question, if anyone can answer. So I have been doing the course for a bit and I see that you can search a chest at 18:24. The chest to the north in the water. It looks like you can loot it, your only a step away. Is their a way to search it to get some marks?

You cant collect loot more than x times per floor! So you cant hit every loot spot if i remember correctly

I'm so happy I'm not the only one that hates this minigame's fucking guts. What a terrible terrible bit of content, so frustrating and unfun to do. Runescape is good in a lot of ways but it's never been known for having a "good" movement system. Basing a very intensive and precise activity around said movement system, with a TIMER as well is simply sadistic bordering on cruel. Hard pass. I don't care how good the XP gains are.

It's fun when you get the hang of it (I'm only up to floor 4 now though). But yeah Jagex is designing content and EXP rates around the most hardcore tick-perfect players which they need to ease up on (even Mod Mat K mentioned this in an AMA).
