Queen Anne's lace is what those awesome pockets look like to me! Can't wait to see them finished! I was beginning to panic when your video didn't come up yesterday! lol I think the muslin for your dad is perfect to send as the finished piece, he's known you long enough that I am sure he will think, what the hell Nicki! lol Make sure you record his trying it on for us! lol

Cecile, I will do my best to record his horror! He is an expert prankster so I will do my best to pull it off. I love those pockets and I plan on working on those jeans as soon as I get these shirts on their way. I am so sorry I was late, it was half oversleeping and half computer glitches with my upload. My mom was all over me about it, so don't worry. If I get behind, there is a disappointed mom all over me about it!

I am certain it is NOT your fault with the Katherine Tilton jacket; I feel like those Tilton sisters love puzzles and make their sewing patterns like some kind of origami that needs all kinds of solving. (I’m not a fan; many are!) Your costume rocks!!!! You totally nailed it. A+++ I love it! And the shoes!! Omg. I also want to say that those jean pockets are incredibly beautiful!! Wow! I had no idea you are a master embroiderer (is that a word?) Wow, you have some serious embroidery chops and I can’t get over those pockets. As far as your dad goes -> PRANK HIM!! It would be helpful to have a pic of Norris’ wild floral sleeve version to help lend credibility to your flashy garment. Tell him how proud you are! Oh yes, dads were made for fun jokes like that!! So, my dad will love it if I prank him. My cat gets postcards from his cat, so this kind of behavior is right up his alley. He has apparently had a lot of free time since he retired. Would you believe this is only my second time trying to hand embroider? The first time was just some running stitches and now this, I was as shocked as you!!! I couldn't believe it went so well and it was fun too! Didn't I tell you I hated hand stitching? Guess I made a liar out of myself, cause it was a good time.

Sandy, you have no idea what lengths I will go to for Halloween!! It is one of my favorite holidays and I love to celebrate it. My dad has been pranking my brother and I since we were kids, he will not only love it, but he deserves the payback.

Sally, I think next year if I wear it again I will cover it in blood, I didn't do it this time because I was running out the door and didn't have time to properly apply it in a realistic spurting pattern. Tea, I did a review on the Burda top several videos back, but honestly, there isn't much to it. I love how it turned out and its very flattering! I'm glad I inspired you to rewatch Kill Bill, it is a great set of movies and I think it will put you in the Halloween spirit. Tarantino loves his blood!

I just made the mimi g shirt for my husband. Turned out good. I did grey body, black sleeves, same view. The only thing he doesn't like are the sleeves. they are almost 3/4. I did not even realize it when I cut it out. You absoluteley should not tell your dad it isn't the final. If he is like you, he has a sense of humor.

Thank you Sage, I love Halloween because you have to think outside the box to replicate things. I think I should have taken the time to trim the wig and style it better, but time was not really on my side. I think the pockets turned out really well. I love an interesting jean pocket.

I would have used that denim in a heartbeat if it had any stretch in it, but it doesn't. I am making a pair of Ginger Jeans so I gotta have that lycra on board, ya know? I need to find a project for the speckle denim, it is so cool! I think I will mess with him a little, after all, its my job!

Loved Kill Bill, and your costume was awesome. You did a beautiful job on your embroidered jeans pockets, it looks like Queen Ann’s lace flower to me, either way Baby’s Breath is gorgeous too. I did have the Mimi G pattern and if it wouldn't have been such a pain to add seam allowance to every one of those stripes, I would have used it because the jacket matched the style better. I had a blast at the party, two things I love, house parties with friends and Halloween, nothing beats it! I am really happy with how the pockets turned out, hopefully the jeans are smooth sailing!

Not into the odd Tilton patterns, so I'm thinking it was the patterns, not you! Your costume is adorable. and I love your philosophy of dressing like a tart. I used to love dressing like a tart on Halloween because I never dressed skanky IRL. In hindsight, I should have... Those are the most beautiful pockets I have ever seen. I feel like I only get to enjoy this body once, and when its gone, its gone so I do as I please with it and dress it how I like. I have an intense dislike for people shaming women for dressing how they want to and I refuse to do it to others. That being said, I can totally understand how Halloween can be an outlet for letting loose and I applaud women for using it to that end, I just prefer to go another way on Halloween! I also agree with you on the Tiltons, I think its the only one I own and I was not pleased. I doubt I will go back to it, though I do like the way it looks on the envelope, I cant see any reason to make it that complicated. I like your Halloween philosophy. Don't feel bad about jacket. The Tilton patterns are always so weird. The sizing is wonky. The pieces are fussy. And then I never love the outcome. Not worth the work for me. I never buy those patterns anymore. The embroidery is fantastic! I love it. And yes, definitely tease your dad. That will be hilarious.

You know, I think this may have been my first Tilton pattern and I don't know if there will be any more. I liked the idea of the jacket and I liked the style of it, but honestly, I think having those crazy pieces was really unnecessary. That jacket could have been made with more traditional pieces while still keeping the look. It was more difficult than it needed to be, which was annoying. I will definitely prank my pops, I cant resist a good laugh.
