There is a thing called “teal pumpkin project”. Those of us (including me) who have food allergies know that a teal pumpkin at a house means that they have “allergy safe” treats like trinkets and toys; as opposed to treats that have peanuts, milk etc. This is part of why you may see blue pumpkins. It’s nice, so even these kids get to enjoy the season!

Wow, I had no idea! Thank you so much for informing me! I suffered with a peanut/pea allergy for over 10 years, cannot believe I'd never heard of the Teal Pumpkin Project during that time. It would have been so helpful. I definitely will take part in that this year, as I really feel for those with food allergies. It can make holidays really scary and unpleasant, so I appreciate this project so much!! Teal pumpkins ftw. 🎃🩵

Yesss!!! It's amazing!! 😍🎃 I did purchase him during this trip, but I didn't find out that he actually lights up until I filmed my haul video, which is crazy! 🤣 I had already recorded my voiceover for this shop with me at that point, and since it was how I genuinely felt at the time of recording, I left it as is. I bought a beautiful faux marble figure from Michael's white halloween stuff. The aisle was looking pretty cleared out. They had tried to spread things across to hide the empty shelves. If you decorate with halloween decor all year round, I feel Michaels and Marshall's had some of the best selections. The embroidered fall pillows with mushrooms and leaves were to die for but I had to leave them behind.

I have to ask you about Michael’s prices. Last winter we went in there and I began looking at stuff, I noticed the price tag & only sparingly put items in my cart. When I got to the register, I hadn’t noticed that the price wasn’t the actual price… it was a fraction of it. On everything. I couldn’t understand why they just didn’t price the tag at the actual price. I turned right around and started buying all the stuff I had wanted! Are you sure you were understanding their pricing system? Maybe not all Michael’s stores do that? Ty for shopping the stores as I can’t do that right now due to my hubby being on medical leave from work.

Hon, the headless horseman pumpkin DIES light up! I saw the saw the same one and thought the same thing on first impression. But after giving it a good upside down inspection, found the on/off switch. It's not where you expect it to be. If you look at your video and pay attention as you are placing it back on the shelf, you can just barely see it. It's at the bottom of his torso, not at the base of the piece.

Wow, I had no idea!! Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I just did a search on it, and it's crazy! It was beautiful but I'm glad I didn't purchase it. It's unfortunate, but I feel that this will sadly be our reality over the next few years, if not decades. I predict that AI art will be taking over most designs in major stores. It's truly a shame because as a photographer and professional editor myself, AI has made most of my trade obsolete. 😓
