I have a dragon collection as well out here in CA. The thing going around is called "slaying the dragon", people run up with a knife and slash the dragons until the pop or explode. I have a friend who is a hot air balloonist and she was able to patch the inflatables together and we put them back up a few nights later. But for the first week, I was always looking out the window at various times of the night checking to make sure they were o.k. A few years have passed, and they go up every year and have had no issues since. Trust me, I know and understand how they feel...but refuse to let them control my fun of decorating for the holidays. Eventually Karma will pay them back in full.

There are people who think it's funny, and that they're so tough, to vandalize things. Even mailboxes. The adult vandals are like little children. They will be talking about their vandalism, for years, with their friends because they think it's so funny. I was brought up to know that you leave other people's possessions alone.

Go up and down the streets and ask people in the neighborhood to check their doorbell camera footage. those kids could not have had their faces covered the whole time so somebody probably has a picture of them and/or the license plate of the car they drove up in
