Hiya Leon, yhea it took me 3 days i thought i found it and then after repairing it was still loosing water until i worked it out. I am also glad i gound and fixed it. I just need to order another ball valve for the other one as that dosent have a valve on. Just to be on the safe side. I only have 1 mug left at this moment in time. I am saving it for a give away. Which you could win 🤪🤞, But if you dont as soon as i get some more i'll send you one 😊🙏🏻😊

those type of water hoses are quite renowned for springing leaks, mainly because of the ribs on the hoses. clamps don't quite squeeze the hoses down very well due to the ribs. As you have discovered, PTFE can help with this. Glad you sorted it, not nice seeing a drop in water level.

Thank for commenting mate 👍🏻 yhea i might have to look into getting the non ribbed hose's but they have been on for ages with out any problem👍🏻 just i think i knocked one the other day. And as for the leak from the waste... glad i got a ball valve there. I just need one on the bigger pressure filter 👍🏻

Love the pond but why do you have the skimmer so close to the outflow

Hello Mark 👋🏻. The answer is that the skimmer, is where most of the leaves fall and its to tall to have it in the shallow end, but i do push it as close as i can to the back wall but my bigger koi and mirror carp swim around it and push it back out. I also find it helps with the flow as the outlet pushes water around the pond diagonally and as it swirls around the shallowend and comes back to the skimmer. Just past the pump in the shallow end

I had the exact same with my filter hence why I have to keep my tape closed aswell seal has gone on mine aswell I've got a spare hose tail if you need one mate 👌👌

Yhea thankfully i had that ball valve on the filter, as i dont have one on the other so will need to add one on that at some point soon. Thank for the offer mate but i ordered some already, just i couldn't get any from the stores as they was all out of stock. 🤯😳 but thanks once again 😊🙏🏻😊

Most if not all pressure filters leak from the waste. I always fitted a ball valve on customers pressure filter wastes or they come with a cap.The ribbed pipe is notoriously difficult to get a good seal. It also gets very brittle with age and when it gets cold. If you can I would suggest you change it for the non ribbed flexible pipe.

Hello Tony and Thank you for commenting 👍🏻. The pressure filter came with the ball valve but i alway had it open. The other pressure filter also come with one but i took it off and swapped it out as it didnt fit the the filter triangle. And i think i binned it 😂😣. So i will order one for the other filter just in case. And i will look into swapping the pipes out. As i am not sure the price of non ribbed hose, But i will 💯% look into it 👍🏻. Love your pond. I’m looking at building mine with rocks inside and outside. What size is your pond and what size is your liner please mate?

It was a second hand liner when i bought it, so i had to dig the pond to fit the liner, i know its a crazy way of doing it, i know its holds about 6500 litres including the 2 filters. Its about 13ft long and at the widest part is about 9 and a half foot. Deepest part is around 2ft 5 If i remember correctly but its not very deep. I do need to go deeper and get a new liner. i used ptfe tape on the connection at the back of my bakki shower as id overtightened the threads just wouldnt stop leaking which does ya nut in so whacked a load of the plumbers tape on and hey presto fixed,giz a shout when you start digging ill be a pro at it soon 🤣🤣
