Oh My Gawd Guys, this is insane! Dont get me wrong, the prop makeovers are great, but you’re prop creation/ build is even better! Just the idea of using the craft pumpkins to create the heads of the venus fly traps is genius. Also, I’m really interested in the “craft foam” I never heard of that, and that patina paint is so cool, how it works, and how it looks like real patina copper or brass. I would add lights inside the mouths and wrap around the vines, to make them into lamps. I would keep them out all year round. They would scare off thefts from coming to my door. Also, it would add a Gothic theme to my door. My neighbors are aware I am a Goth, they are very kind people. My neighbors would love something like this seating in front of my apartment. We deal with theft and vandalism sometimes so I would need to make it more secure. Having lights keeps them from wanting to try vandalizing. I also would add speakers for creepy sounds.

You can probably use pebbles/gravel instead of concrete for the weighted base (less CO2 and pure no water). You can also probably fish string through the pipes for animation activated from a distance, the best part IMO since you can time it. I'm going to experiment with English Ivy painted to how it holds up. I like to do extreme improvements and will try to see how I can transform this horror prop into a friendly Xmas prop. Thanks for the inspiring tutorial that gets nature into the horror genre! (Not that we need any more than what she throws at us).

love this, so glad the algorithm gave me this! As a stocker at good ol' Michraftles imagine my shock when not even a week after first seeing this video, we got this year's fly trap in. While it IS an improvement from last years, I couldn't help but notice some uh. uncanny cooincidences that really stood out to me, the fangs got more tapered, it got a new paint job with darker line patterns, and most notably to me the head is very much just one of their craft pumpkins, stem on the back and all! It just wouldn't leave my head how many things were similar to yours and makes me wonder if they took inspiration.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this as well as all of your other videos...such inspo everytime! And, you're very "real" about everything (if that makes sense) which is quite refreshing these days! I have concrete pots like these that NOTHING grows in. I am totally doing this technique to them for use in all seasons...the MOST important Halloween, of course! Thanks for allowing us along for the ride with your creativity!

Very cool! It reminds me of the man eating plants from crash bandicoot! Great work man!

With a slightly different paint job, you can easily turn these into Super Mario Piranha plants.
