Straight up bias and other reasons I don't know or care, if you call yourself a critic you have to discuss the good and bad moments in the movie objectively especially since this is the final part in this trilogy and how all three films sum up. Joe giving this movie a break and soft-pedaling it when you know the film is a piece of shit and can respect someone's opinion if they did enjoy the movie makes him look pretty bad, it's like he can't be objective because his subjective opinion holds more ground. If this was about Superman or Suicide Squad though he'll fight tooth and nail to prove his case, but when it comes to Halloween Ends it gets a pass because he enjoyed the final act of the movie.That's a poor ass excuse. Very inconsistent, overly bias, lacking discipline in this review. If you enjoyed this movie, more power to you, but it definitely has some huge flaws and is a disappointing conclusion to the 2018 reboot.

I read on TV tropes that supposedly the original idea was Laurie goes after Micheal immediately after the ending of Kills with Ends essentially still taking place on the same night. Reason they didn't do that is cause of Covid delays. If that is true I will be so pissed because this was not the ending anyone wanted.

It blows my mind that this has been receiving fairly mixed reviews. This was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Thanks to this review I convinced my friends to skip the theater and use Peacock instead, which was fortunate because all we did was laugh in the 'wtf was that' kind of way. We christened it Tyler Perry's Halloween because of how confused and nonsensical the pacing and dialogue was.

The issue with Kills is that amid the mind numbing plot points and dialogue it tries to alter large chunks of the Halloween lore just for the sake of its own existence. I even think there were clear paths to making Kills beloved if Ends would’ve just continued where we left off. For instance, I really hated the insistence that Michael “just wanted to go home” but it could’ve worked if Michael was just trying to get back there to lure Laurie so he could finally kill her where he failed 40 years ago. Idk, there’s a lot to hate about Kills but at least there were ways to make it work.

For me personally, there are two endings, if i wanted the happy ending, i would want the 2018 movie to be the ending for the franchise where laurie wins for good,but if i wanted the bad ending where evil wins,then the Kills movie would be the perfect ending where micheal eventually kills all of the residents of Haddonfield and becomes pretty much the immortal devil, but this movie Ends, nope, it's absolutely horrible.

Michael becomes more powerful whenever he kills someone, and Corey discovers this when he fights Michael for the mask. Corey survived the knife slash by wearing the mask when he killed people. He fought Michael for the knife because he wanted to assume the new role of being an immortal killer

I thought a better fit would’ve been in the third act. Since they hinted at the supernatural in Halloween kills I thought Michael would slowly be transferring his conscience on to Cory and every time Cory killed he would become stronger and start ignoring damage like Michael. Imagine at the end instead of Allison thinking Laurie killed Cory Allison never went there, instead she drives by the radio station and sees it burning and figures out that Cory is going on a killing spree. She goes to Laurie’s house and helps her kill Cory, Michael comes along and wounds Allison, and Michael and Laurie have their showdown with Laurie killing Michael but is dying from her wounds from Michael while Allison comforts her. Then it’s revealed that when Michael died his conscience fully transferred to Cory, healing his wound and bringing him back to life. When the cops arrive the only bodies they find are Laurie and Michael’s to Allison’s confusion. At the end of the movie they show a family inside of their house and outside holding a knife is Cory wearing his scarecrow mask. Boom a new villain is born That would have made room for them to make new films about this new killer and move away from the Halloween title as a spin-off. Laurie got to kill Michael and now Allison has her own version to deal with using everything she’s learned from her grandmother. Or it could just be a new slasher film without Allison.

Did anybody else notice, after watching this movie, that the main character,(Corey), starts off with glasses and then,(spoiler alert),he encounters Michael Myers, starts killing, and doesn't wear his glasses for the rest of the movie, including when he rides a motorbike,(how can he see the road properly?). Are the filmmakers trying to say that people who wear glasses are not good enough to be psychopathic serial killers? Tell that to Jeffrey Dahmer, the infamous serial killer who wore glasses, and killed AND ate people!

I’m 45 years old, and ‘Halloween Ends’ has the dubious distinction of being the single worst movie that I’ve ever seen. What a massive, steaming pile of cow dung. There’s absolutely nothing in the entire film that I could find anything even remotely decent enough to compliment. Trash. Pure trash. I don’t know who wrote this script, but they should never be allowed to write a script again. The director should never be allowed to direct again. How movie should have went The shape should have been more supernatural Granny should have died. Michael should have had a "joker effect" on the town creating a cult when he died. Creating a cult of psychos with the cult starting with hobo, the babysitter, his girlfriend, and the main bully being turned by Michael voodoo eyes, the ex boyfriend cop. These people could have made a "scream" style culture and the media goes global creating more cult members globally. They could have Myers still alive having people with "evil" in there hearts bringing assholes to him as a sacrifice to make him stronger. The town gathers up to attack the sewer pipe filled with cult members and a op Myers.

It totally centered around Michael, except for the lynch mob at the hospital which I found unnecessary and a low point of that movie. I liked how Micheal was shown to be a superhuman and able to take down anyone, and everyone. I especially liked the kills right after everyone assumed he was dead in the streets, and the surprise kill on Karen that no one was expecting. I could re-watch that movie many times. Halloween Ends was terribly bad. 3/4 of the movie centered on a romance between Allyson and Corey which made little to no sense, and no one cared about. People went to the theater to see Michael. When I was watching this movie I was just bored, and waiting to see Michael... Then when we FINALLY see him he let's someone live? He is also the opposite of what he was in the last movie... He had superhuman strength, and in this movie he is weak, has a difficulty getting up, and gets pushed around by a kid... That pissed me off. He is Michael f***ing Myers! Some kid finds him, Michael doesn't kill him, and Michael is weak now, and a kid pushes him over and takes his mask? Bullshit. Then even after that again it still focuses on this new character that we spent the first 2/3 of the movie learning about that all we want is to die so Michael can take the lead... A small other side note I thought that black lady living from the last movie was dumb... She was obviously going to die. Michael stabbed her in the throat with a fluorescent light bulb, and she was bleeding out. She was not going to live through that. No one was going to be there to save her either. That is besides the point though. People came to the theater to see Michael face off against Laurie Strode and company, not be a weak old man that makes a cameo at the very end of a romance movie.

At this point they should’ve just ended Ends with Michael about to kill Laurie and several portals open up and out steps Jamie Lloyd, Busta Rhymes, Rob Zombie’ Laurie, Lauire’s son John, and the spirit of Loomis just like Endgame and they all do wrestling finishing moves on Michael. At least we would’ve all laughed and gone home happy saying well that was different 😂

How can they get it so wrong??? This movie should have been a cat and mouse/hide and seek game between M and L from beginning to end. They should have replicated the fear we felt in H20 when Laurie is alone in the school and Michael chases her. They should've had the focus purely on Michael and Laurie from start to finish and kept other characters to a minimum. God give me strength!!

Hollywood never seems to know what they’re doing when it comes to Halloween. I recommend checking out the fan films cuz what they lack in budget they make up for in passion. My favorite is Halloween You Can’t Kill The Boogeyman, easily the closest thing the fans have gotten to the original film!!

I would say 2018 was great and kills was solid so I wouldn't say never.
