So around 3 weeks ago I had this demonic dream out of nowhere. There was a lot involved, but the main takeaway is that in it there was a version of my family in the dream I was talking to (though I'm pretty sure they were actually demons) that said, "we have to talk about how you and your friends were at a haunted house years ago and made a pact with the devil" And I quickly responded, "That never happened. I know who I'm promised to." Then I woke up. Anyway, when I woke up, I suddenly realized that even though I haven't celebrated Halloween since I was in college over a decade ago, I did actually go to one of those "fright nights" at Knotts the same year I got saved where my friends and I went into 3 different "haunted houses". Back then I still wasn't really completely surrendered to Christ and didn't think it was a big deal. After that dream, as soon as I woke up and realized I'd never actually repented from that, I did so that very moment. It's just weird cause I had all, but forgot that had even happened, but demons never want you to forget your past mistakes (particularly once you begin to make fewer and fewer of them as you grow in Jesus/grow in holiness/grow in the Spirit).

Won't get into details, but the almost always involved me finding myself in some kind of situation that I would never be in IRL. The whole point of these were to make me feel condemned, like I'd never be good enough for God (which of course is a lie, cause Jesus literally died so that we could make His righteousness ours). Just be sure to pray when you wake up and ask God what doors you need to close to make the dreams stop.

I was once part of a church that celebrated “Hallelujah Nights” on Halloween. I was there for a year and the first time I heard them announce that holiday, my spirit felt sad. They tried to mask it saying the kids would dress up as Bible characters. Everyone invited me to that event. I declined their invitation. When I was a kid we were never allowed to go trick or treating. In fact my parents made us sit down and watch a movie called Halloween that went into depth about why Christians shouldn't partake. I never truly understood the message because in my mind if you are dressed up as an angel how could that be demonic. Fast forward to college age I started to celebrate it. I'd party and dress up(nothing ever godly 🤦🏼‍♀️) and even said if I had kids I'd never say no to trick or treating. I let my kids go a few times and dressed up as cute things. Last year my son dressed up as a reaper(difference between father and I and it was a fight I wasn't strong enough to fight) when I saw my son dressed up as a reaper it hit me just how wrong this all was and I remembered that movie my parents made us watch. This year I refused to partake. I explained to my kids why and they were happy to not. My church did a fall festival and we didn't even go to that. Fall festivals is the same thing as putting sugar over Satan and calling it sweet. Nope not at all. God warns us that Satan will make what is wrong look so good but we must stand firm in our faith. I'm so thankful God spoke to me and reminded me to not partake.

We used to be the people that would celebrate Halloween with unscary outfits and avoid the demonic looking houses with decorations and thought we were allowing our kids the experience of not missing out on what all their friends were doing. Last year my son wanted to be a light up stick man but that costume had sold out in town, with no time to order. So we bought a reaper outfit with the intention of throwing away the mask and just keeping the black outfit to glue glow sticks on. The entire time we were in the Halloween store I felt a demonic presence -but again, I didn’t want my boys to “miss out”. That night our son came running to our bedroom speechless, but hysterical. He finally told us that he saw a demon in between his and his brother’s room. My husband and I immediately knew it was the costume without saying a word to each other. We allowed something in to our home somewhat “innocently”. My husband threw the costume in the trash, brought it to the curb and walked prayer circles around our house. He was praying in the Spirit and was loud! I can only imagine what our neighbors thought at midnight! My son and I were sitting on the couch and could hear where my husband was at outside of the house because of how loud he was. My son and I were praying and heard an awful scream/shriek like it was running from my husband’s prayers. It was creepy and there was no doubt it was a demon. My son and I were the only ones that heard it. We no longer entertain halloween or anything to do with it. I work at a Christian school and it is so hard to hear all the kids talk about how excited they are for halloween. Since then, I never ignore the conviction

Something we do is we do not allow my kids to participant in anything relates to this day . no story parade or dressing up. After coming to Christ at the beginning of this year right before I turned 33 (I never got to grow up knowing the Lord as I had a very tumultuous childhood and was never given a Bible or told about Jesus) I always celebrated Halloween unfortunately. My father was from Scottland and was an acoholic so I didn't get to know him, but after his death on Halloween it was then I learned he really dislike that holiday. People said he hated Halloween. He was hit by a car on his bicycle on Halloween and he already had another new family with another five children but he only held two pictures in his wallet and that was me and my older brother. I pray to this day that his soul is in heaven. I wish I could have known more about him. I think I will be staying in this Halloween and praying for forgiveness for not understanding what I was celebrating. My father's death saved mine. They always mention ( This is not for Halloween) I just find it funny it's always the Friday before Halloween. My kids don't really care for it and I'm actually very Happy they don't but I was just concerned. Not to mention last year they also tried adding yoga to P.E. class and not let parents know. Ask the teacher if they can pull your children out of halloween activities, books etc. if you are able to. Show God that you love him and you are strong believer in Him. I had to do this my self. These days the devil can make anything a portal if we are too spiritually lazy. We have to confront the enemy in the Holy Spirit and as Paul says don’t be ignorant to his schemes.

When I was 4yrs old my mom took me and my brother to a halloween event. I did not want to wear the costume, I did not want to go. As a child I knew it was not right, as I did not know what halloween even was. So it was written in my heart to not go and not wear a costume. Of all places the halloween event was a haunted house inside the actual church basement I think, and I was scared as it wasfeeling just odd and not right. I guess as evil (but no hair raised type feeling). I got the 'flu' feeling suddenly really bad, fever, the first time ever at that exact time at the event, and even vomitted at home. I felt perfectly fine beforehand. Mom's and Dads just beware of your little ones. If you love them do not take them to anything as halloween. They are actually God's little ones.

A couple of days ago I left the occult. I was addicted to tarot on KZbin and channeling “spirit guides.” I bought crystals and sage and thought I was a star seed here to raise the vibration of the planet. Question: My dad took 2 photos to a medium. One of a girl who was found dead and one of my mother (she wasn’t well, he wanted to find out what’s wrong with her) The medium said the girls is happy where she is, but when he saw the photo of my mum he was shocked and told my dad to never bring her back there and he wouldn’t say anything about her to my dad. Why?? Any ideas? Later my mother was diagnosed with schizophrenia and struggles with anorexia (I believe that’s what it is) We had things show up, move, dreams etc in my parents house. My mum is a believer in Jesus, she reads the Bible, sings, prays but she’s definitely controlled by someone- she prays and hears someone’s voice telling her what do (mostly) not do. Like enjoy fruit and veggies. Her diet is so restrictive. She won’t take communion at church and often feels unworthy. She had two abortions when young and struggled with guilt, depression all her life. They live in an orthodox country (Romania) so they have paintings of Mary etc (what we call icoane) but my dad doesn’t understand he needs to get rid of them. When he was going to come visit me he had a dream of a demon strangling him, on his chest, asking him angrily why is he going to visit. I shared the Gospel with him while here. I know there is freedom available, hurts knowing they struggle so much ever day. Thank you!

Man, I love this interview. Theres something different about us who are converted in these dramatic ways. When I received the gospel in to my heart with the deposit of the Holy Spirit, without ever having opened a Bible (to read it. I used the Book of Mormon for rolling papers), but I knew that most people had this whole idea of God wrong, and even most "Christians" had it all wrong.
