I can understand how John feels 100% but I also feel Laurie too. Apparently after the fire in Halloween II they never found Michael Myers corpse. So if I had a sibling who usually likes to wait long periods of time to go after their victims, tried to kill me twice in one night, getting shot 6 times and getting up like it was nothing and you tell me a body that was engulfed in flames just disappears (let’s also remember that though 4-6 don’t exist here, Dr. loomis still survived that explosion helped Laurie escape haddonfield, fake her death, and change her name and didn’t die until the same year the actor portraying him did, so if he survived then Michael would for sure) I’d be a little traumatized too, even if it was 20 years and I’m only just barely over 20 years old 😂

H20 was originally intended to ignore 4-6 but in a way, it still tied them in in an "Easter egg" fashion. In the opening credits in Dr. Loomis' office if you look at the pictures there is a picture of the bloody scissors used to kill Rachel in Halloween 5. To me, as minute as that detail is, it ties it all together. Laurie Strode couldn't hadle the stress of living in Haddonfield after the attack so in a desperate attempt to make sure that Michael couldn't find her she faked her death, and moved 2,000+ miles away to California to start a new life and hopefully ditch her brother forever. But after killing Jamie Lloyd (her daughter) in H6, he came for her to finish what he'd started. That's the most logical way to look at it and it fills all continuity issues/plot holes.

Yeah in a way H20 kind of is canon to 4,5, and 6 but it doesn't let the audience know that and Idc what anyone says there's still holes in the storyline. In the newspaper clipping where it shows Laurie Strode was killed in an auto accident the date is 1982 but in Halloween 4 which takes place the same year the movie was released (1988) Jamie tells Rachel that her parents have been dead for 11 months. How can that be. Unless she wasn't talking about Laurie Strode and she was taking about her biological father and her dads wife or possibly gf maybe and maybe possibly Dr. Wynn murdered Jamie's parents and somehow was able to watch over Jamie and lead Michael to her in Haddondfield to be his next sacrifice, Dr. Wynn believing that Laurie was in fact dead and no longer of any concern. Maybe just maybe.

Alright. I remember when they filmed this part on Main St. in La Puente, CA, in the Old Town, which is just down the street from my house. Its no surprise, since anyone who know's about this town knows that it's a halloween town. Theirs a year around halloween store called Franciscos Halloween Shop and the colors that represents this city and the local school are orange and black. They also filmed a small part of the Jim Carry movie called Man On The Moon and a part of an episode of the HBO series True Blood right there and most recently, the movie Bird Box; but the most famous movie filmed close by would of been Back to the Future. which an iconic scene in that movie was filmed in the Puente Hills Mall parking lot. although the mall is part of City of Industry, it bares the city of La Puente's name. Oh; and one of the neighboring cities, which is called Baldwin Park, also had parts of famous movies filmed their in the Kaiser Permanente, such as Congo, Starship Troopers, Face Off and Desperate Measures. Yep, those were the good old day's back in the 80's and 90's and I guess the 2010's. lol

I really wish they hadn't f-ed up after this sequel with Resurrection. I understand why some people don't like H20, but it holds up so much better than Halloween Ends as a definitive "end" to Michael Myers. Also, if they had done a sequel proper, I would've liked to have seen Hartnet return as John. Like, if they did follow through with the beginning of Michael killing Laurie, have John become the obsessed traumatized survivor, trying to hunt down Michael to avenge his mother. Make him sorta the "new Loomis" only not as old, like what they were trying to do with Tommy in Curse of Michael Myers or Halloween Kills.

Melissa Miller my same question I always ask. Whatever happened to John? They need to make a movie about him. But sadly this new Halloween 2018 disregards every film after the original in 1978. What were they thinking?

Melissa Miller Yup I know. Even though these movies are non cannon now, they can never take away the joy & love we have for them. They'll always be in our hearts. Not the god awful Rob Zombies remakes but Halloween 2 (1981) -Resurrection (2002). I'm still going to see the new one in October 2018. Though I have a feeling this might be the last installment in the franchise. Michael is damn near 60 now. They can't keep this up.
