First off all love the vid man. Reminds me of the early KZbin era where channels were just people giving their honest opinions. It wasn't about the money or algorithms just finding people Your summary was hilarious. It almost makes me want to rewatch the movie. Almost Hopes Ends will give us a properly structured story even though it doesn't have a solid foundation or bridge from Kills

I agree with pretty everything you said. That being said, the movie is very entertaining. It seems like a lot of horror fans are obsessed with blood and guts now. I'd rather see a Halloween (1978) or TCM (1974). Very little blood and guts but plenty of suspense.

The biggest problem is that Halloween II never happened, but Kills still kind of tries to act like it did. It even flashes back to it. The town acts like Michael killed a million people back in 1979 but he really only killed, what, 3 people? But if you add Halloween II, I could see that night causing some lasting scars on Haddonfield.

I agree. I loved the kills in the film. For the most part anyway. And J.J. Courtney as Myers is pretty awesome. But on the other hand, the pacing of the film was wayyyy off. The dialog was shit. I couldn't tolerate Laurie's scenes at all. The whole mob plot was stupid. They didn't even utilize the nostalgic characters in an interesting way at all. They were just kinda there.

Haha Piz this was a funny review, and I mostly agree with everything you said about Kills, but man I really enjoy it. When I watch a Halloween movie expectations of coherent plot, sharp dialogue and oscar worthy performances are welcome, but not applicable. I'm there for the atmosphere, the soundtrack and the kills. And in that respect it definitely delivers (for me).

I don't understand why people would be angry and threatening over a person/persons' opinions 🙄 Everyone has a right to like/hate anything they want. And I've said it so many times that I'm literally exhausted but, I don't understand why Jaimie's character is important to the story anymore. Like I've said numerous times, since they are no longer brother and sister. They are no longer connected. She's just simply a potential victim that got away.

I'm sorry you had to get death threats for your first review. As far as my thoughts on Halloween Kills, I enjoyed it. It's got it's share of problems with some very dumb character decisions, some iffy writing and some slow moments and the ending is very abrupt but there's some good enough moments in this movie with some of the kills, the performances are good, well direction and cinematography is competent and Michael is pretty brutal here. Not perfect but far from the worst Halloween film ever. Great review, Pizowell. - Joshua

I found your channel from CHH, and Death threats aren’t cool. I loved aspects of the film and hated other aspects. My favorite was the ‘78 flashback and the firefighter fight sequence. JJC is amazing as Michael and brings a menacing feel back to The Shape. I’m glad I found your channel!

I've always had a theory about Bucky. That he was the brother of Bunky from Alone in the Dark (1982) and he was so distraught that his sister died because 4 maniacs escaped from the asylum during a black out that he got a job as a line man at the power company. He was so dedicated to keeping people safe during a power outage that he was willing to face off against Michael Myers himself. Team Bucky & Bunky forever 🖤

Some of the dialogue in these new Halloween films sounds like it was written by high school theater kids. It’s just all so awkward and clunky. If the dialogue was better, these films would be a lot more tolerable. Here’s to hoping the script to Ends was peer reviewed before McBride and Green turned in their final draft.

First time I saw this I thought it was pretty lame. The tone is totally inconsistent and the mob thing is still pretty silly, but I had a real fun time on the a revisit with the right expectations. I will say it definitely felt like they had no clear idea of how to do the trilogy especially since they just completely changed the plan with ends.

These films are part of a franchise, so the words 'innovative' and 'groundbreaking' don't exactly come to mind, and I understand that people want something familiar and something they are comfortable with, but some writer has got to rock the boat sometime with this series, at least at this point. The ending of Halloween 4 is a case in point. That was legitimately out of the blue and creepy. It's time some writer starts doing some real writing and make people start guessing again.

i respect your opinion man. I personally dont think its a bad movie at all. Yes its pretty flawed but it makes sense for why the characters make stupid decisions. I always have the original 3 ( maybe 4) as my Halloween canon or films I watch on the regular. The others are fun but just meh. These new ones are fun but I find it hard to associate them with the original. The logic breaks down too quick so I have to look at the new films like "They're just Halloween movies." I'm pretty meh about them. I do not like Jamie Lee Curtis or Laurie Strode so that won't go down well but she is annoying. I just want the films to be more spooky, creepy, old fashioned type of stuff. Not bloody stupid "we have to have a message about powerful women" in here. F~~ off. lol.

How the hell did you get death threats over your original review?! It was spot on (although Loomis was done practical not with cgi) The movie lost me in the first 10 minutes because I'd thought they cgi'd Loomis and crossed a line but then kept digging itself further. I later found out the Loomis was practical making it a pretty cool sequence but the rest of the movie was unbelievable trash. Evil Dies Tonight just hurt more and more every time I heard it and throwing away a main character so unceremoniously at the end was just a kick in the nuts for the audience. The teaser marketing got me back for Ends but I'll be watching it on Peacock before I give the theater money this time.
