Thanks for the review. The original ending did feel unfinished for me and that it needed more. Also makes me appreciate the slow-motion style more, since it shows more brutal kills and doesn't feel like it is shying away from anything.

Right? Both endings felt unfinished but this extended one really did. Felt as though something was about to build up just for all the momentum to be halted. Kinda strange.

I think the ending could've have Laurie had a breakdown after hearing Micheal. After a few seconds of yelling and crying she could've grabbed the phone and threatened Micheal that she is coming for him. And she could've relayed the info to Hawkins and she took the knife and went out the hallway but she looked disheveled and mad.

It’s kind of a tie between Theatrical ending in the extended cut for me the theatrical one ends or a big cliffhanger while the extended cut ending flows a bit better -

I actually liked the way the extended ending played out. Laurie had more of a shocked and angry reaction. When she first hears the breathing she tears up but then gets angry. The music with that scene is amazing!

good review I hope the last movie doesn't turn out to be half a dream ill be pissed off lol you were right that ending when she knew her daughter was dead was that moment she should have fallen apart. she didn't it felt off as a mother that's not a real reaction smh everyone said this wasn't that good compared to the first one they were right sadly I believe the last one will not be good also believe they so focused on the kills and gore that they forgot the key to a horror movie that makes it great is telling a great story. which is the reason why people didn't like this movie as much because all the characters you didn't care for you didn't care about the town people lol those who had no reason to be killed off the movie doesn't tell you whats Michael real motivation lol thats what pissed me off about the first movie I'm like ok the second movie will tell us nope they don't even know lol I wish they would have kept the bother and sister as a storyline because at less we no what Michael Myers motivation is to kill Laurie. these movies are missing a great storyline that pulls you into the movie. I don't see it coming together on the last movie and which brings me to this smh I wish they never try to remake Michael Myers because it's not working lol H2O is still my fav movie if it's one movie that really needs a remake that's Jason lol

Here’s a thought, Laurie does leave, goes missing, Karen is brought to the hospital with Allison with her and she dies there. We pick up four years later, Allison has been on a duel hunt with the help of Hawkins, Lindsey, and whoever else remains, looking for Laurie but also hunting down Michael. As far as the pandemic, I agree that maybe Michaels killing spree continues beyond Haddonfield once the town becomes desolate after the events 4 years prior and Maybe the “cave dweller” is Laurie while it is first expected to be Michael.

Haven't seen the extended cut yet but the entire film was a complete shit show and I'm not sure that there's any way of improving on it.

@@siriush100 I agree. None of it got me involved as a viewer. I think we've all exhausted our opinions on this movie. Personally, I'd say this movie is like 30 Days of Night, IF IT DIDN'T WORK!

@@allsparkstudios1299 she doesnt even react. And why is she on a payphone when every hospital bed has a phone? Its unbelievably stupid all around. And I don't care that it's Jamie Lee Curtis. Nobody is strutting down a hospital hall with a huge kitchen knife and not being stopped or drawing attention.
