Well they did the same with Terminator. They revived his mother and then instantly got rid of him and replaced him with the standard really flat boring female version of himself. A a strategy Hollywood is really sticking with. Okay so getting rid of the guy to replace him with a hastily written and poorly realized female version hasn’t worked that well in Star Wars, Ghostbusters, and Terminator….and we’re doing it with James Bond which based on the track record will probably go about as well as the others and the lead female characters we’re trying to move to the front of the avengers are also less likable, and we’re doing female versions of just about everything else if not now at some point and it basically hasn’t worked out once but lets keep going because Halloween, Alien, Laura Croft, and the many other examples of female lead movies and tv shows just don’t count for some reason so we have to trash the guys to replace them with women and there’s no way having women be the face of destroying these series will be a bad thing. This way women can become associated with the loss of beloved series and the face of trashing guys every chance we get and all the good movies with women can be overshadowed by these, do you see how that’s helping it’s so helpful.

This pitch meeting was brilliant and introduced two new bits that I am HERE for. 1. Producer guy affirming everyone's dumb decisions rather than pointing them out. No bad ideas! 2. Meek version of 'I don't care' writer guy. Producer guy: "So, he's like, supernatural?" Writer Guy: "Pshh, maybe I don't know. I laughed exactly the way you did at #2. Couldn't catch my breath.

I thought long stretches of "H2018" were boring, yet felt the mood was very Rob Zombi-ish when the action picked up. This film was more Keystone Cops in action and logic. However, I loved seeing the kids all grown up, and especially enjoyed seeing Marion (the nurse), and sheriff Leigh Bracket ( the great Charles Cypher) again. Thanks for your hilarious take on a very funny vid!

Remember back when superhero movies were really bad and then we got this Renaissance with X-Men, Spider-Man, and THEN The Dark Knight trilogy and then it ALL pretty much started getting good and serious?... when is this gonna happen for Horror? I seriously thought Get Out was gonna be the turning point but the only thing that came from that were some really blatant rip-offs claiming to be a new genre

That's the problem with horror! They go for the cheap route! A by the numbers slasher movie that could've been ANY generic slasher flick, they slap a franchise tag to it make double their investment and repeat! It's like horror today just comes out of a Xerox machine! It's either a sequel or torture porn! Hell, I'd like a psychological horror movie akin to Silence of the Lambs, but instead we'll get Saw 10! As I was watching this I thought "They could've put a hockey mask on Michael, called it Friday the 13th and changed Laurie's name and it would have NOTHING to distinguish itself!

3 things to add 1. 2018 also had really dumb people, which annoyed me a lot. 2. This and 2018 is based on the premise that Michael killed 3 people 40 years ago. And from that Laurie and now the town has created a mythology based on that, which seems like a huge overreaction. How do you know he transcends the more he kills? He’s only killed 3 people originally. 3. People were calling Pennywise homophobic in IT chapter 2 and wanted to cancel him

I haven't seen it yet and I don't really want to. They improved the creativity of the kills in this rebooted trilogy because , usually it's Jason who is (to quote James A. Janisse) the "murder artiste" but that's seems to be the only bright spot in this second movie. I also agree with you that he's an equal opportunity killer, he doesn't care... you are breathing, he will kill you (ridiculous controversy).

One new thing that I did like about Halloween Kills even though I did not like the way they executed it was that Michael's evil is infecting the whole town and causing them to kill innocent people like he does. I like the idea of evil taking over the town and wanting chaos. It's better than the D&D rituals that they did in part 6.

I think you said this in this reaction but you were talking about how people on the internet got mad that Michael killed a gay couple and saying he's homophobic even though he kills everyone else too. This is how we get characters like Rey because right now Hollywood is like if a female character has any flaws or struggles it would be sexist because female "empowerment" is something Hollywood can cash in on until it stops making them money, which probably won't be soon sadly

Never been a fan of the Halloween franchise. First movie was really good but after that? Unless there is a supernatural reason then Michael should not be able to do what he does. You can convince me that he can ignore pain to a degree...or even totally. Still though, as a human trauma at a certain point would just flat out kill him. Even more so now what it has been over 40 years. Is Michael being allowed to hit the gym? Cause if he is just standing around creepily all of the time he should not have the strength to do what he does.

Peacock sucks. It advertised everything free Then you get there and every show only has its first and last season free and everything else you have to pay for premium Even the ads suck. With youtube or hulu ads after they play you can rewind before the ad and the ad is gone. Not with peacock. After the ads play (ads yes more than one) and you want to rewind to a moment before the ad. When it gets back to the ad it replays the same ads
