I have Halloween Kills ranked 3rd on my list. If you don't have Myers right it's a fail. That was the best looking and acting Myers I have seen, so win win for me.

went and saw halloween kills in the theater and i have never had an experience like that at a movie. it was PACKED. people were screaming, people were cheering, people were laughing. and at the end it got a standing ovation. people left the theater and were standing outside discussing it all. it was awesome to see. yes it had a couple flaws but overall i enjoyed it a lot. and chris killed it!

Like 2018, some aspects were great. But the audience I saw it with was shocked by the horrendous dialogue, at times very questionable acting, and an overall lack of Halloween atmosphere. Granted, I saw it by myself. But the point still stands.

Greetings and salutations, Sean and Chris! Hope the Halloween season has been thoroughly enjoyable for the two of you! I did see Halloween Kills recently, and while it's far from being among my favorite entries in the franchise for a number of reasons, I do have to hand it to Chris and proclaim nothing but the utmost praise for his work on the film! The sculpt for the '78 mask alone was transcendent and truly indicative of sheer, unadulterated passion the likes of which has been mostly absent throughout the series! In retrospect, I wish you had gotten involved in the franchise much sooner, however I'm thrilled to know you will once again be returning for the trilogy's conclusion next year! Originally I was going to take this opportunity to articulate why I have strong reservations with the film overall, but after careful consideration I've decided inconsequential nitpicking and superfluous analysis is counterproductive for a film which wasn't necessarily made with my expectations in mind. Furthermore, I took under consideration the fact that quite a few entries in the franchise, including the Rosenthal Part II, Season of the Witch, and even the 2018 reboot initially left me cold in many regards, but since I've grown to appreciate them more and more with repeat viewings. My most recent viewing of 2018 alone has officially cemented it among my top tier favorites. Perhaps down the road I can give Kills additional chances and one day, like with the others I can grow to appreciate it more. Chris, in addition I wanted to comment on your dilemma with your cat Beaker. I also have a cat who's nineteen years old, named Moonpie, and his behavior is quite similar. Even after I make sure he's given sufficient food and water he'll still senselessly caterwaul at me as if the world is crashing down around him. I suppose it's just an inescapable trait older cats are prone to adopting into their idiosyncratic routines. But anyways, thanks for another great episode, gentlemen! Regardless of how anyone feels about the movie I think its pretty clear that Chris and JJC have given us probably the best Michael we've ever seen after Nick Castle so that makes it a win in my book.

The burnt mask looks so epic and badass! I agree with you guys about Malignant. My girlfriend and I turned it off after 30 minutes, but decided to finish it a couple days later because I read some comments online saying that there’s a cool twist and that the last 30 minutes were very entertaining. I would have to disagree with that. I was surprised at how bad it was because I really like The Conjuring and Insidious.

Kills was a solid shut up and eat your popcorn. I enjoyed the hell out of it. It was promised to be brutal, it was the most brutal Myers we have seen, and it was awesome. The nods to previous films were appreciated. It was exactly what I wanted to go watch and enjoy. Flaws? Of course. What movie doesn't have flaws or improvements to be made? But it's that: a movie. Suspension of reality. And for that I'm grateful. And the shirt design is super cool. I'll buy it.

I think one of the points is how much this being effects people who encounter him, even if its only a brush. Years around him drove Loomis and Sartain to madness. Life threatening situations create an imprint on the subconscious as well and can create a radical shift in perception even with just one event. Most who don’t understand this are those who have never had an experience like that.

I have to admit, I was on the edge of my seat when the 1978 flashback scene started. It was amazing, and Chris nailed the mask. The Akkad family should go back and digitally replace all of the masks from part 4 through Resurrection, and replace those horrible masks with Chris's 78 mask. I may actually enjoy them. Can't a fan dream? Also, don't you think the gore effects in KILLS are way better knowing that our boy Chris is creating them? Looking forward to ENDS! Thanks guys.

I agree with Christopher being able to go see a new Halloween film during Halloween season was a big treat, I loved seeing Loomis I loved seeing the Halloween III masks and I think Christopher and his team did an exceptional job with the make up and effects however the movie just wasn't the sequel I wanted and I don't agree with the direction the franchise is going but I'll shut up and eat my popcorn, great to see you guys back.

I think In 5/10 years Halloween Kills will only grow in popularity. Once people can watch 18, kills and ends back to back to back it’ll make it a more enjoyable watch for the nay sayers. It’s like Empire Strikes back and Infinity War…the bad guy wins.

i thought the movie was solid tbh and enjoyed it. the one thing i really would’ve liked to see and personally would’ve made it more enjoyable for me, and i think a lot of people alike, is to just have all these legacy characters mean a bit more to the story yunno? for example i would’ve LOVED an interaction between brackett and laurie. for christ sake lindsey was in a ditch half the movie 💀 it felt like all the characters that were brought back were thrown at us and were just kinda there.. like what sean said, marion had barely any screentime and hardly an interaction with michael before she was killed, and generally i just agree with everything he said. i guess i just expected a little more out of them given how it was advertised. i know the movie was just a huge body count and like,, of course it is it’s a michael myers movie. there was just such a great story told in 2018 while still being violent. that’s just me though, i guess i’m one of those people. even in slashers i love depth and story mixed in, and though there was a little, i feel there was a way kills could’ve done it a bit better. i could go on about things i wish we’d have seen, but most people just came to see michael kill, and i’m sure they were 100% satisfied lol.

I've been waiting for this! Absolutely love HKills, and it's become my third favorite Halloween under the original two. The effects in this movie were my favorite gore effects since Day of the Dead. The knife under the eye to Marcus makes me cringe every single time! I also can't believe Loomis was all prosthetics! It actually made me tear up seeing what was essentially Donald Pleasence on screen again. Shirt is 👍👍!

I too dislike that they took away the brother sister bit, but it was the only way they could start with a clean slate. No '81, no H20. No questions. We have no idea what Loomis and Marion went through together after '78 and yes they could've explained it in either 2018 or Kills. But they're trying to please at least 3 generations of fans while staying current. You have to understand that you can't please everyone. The fans that grew up with it, the fans that became aware a bit later and the brand new generation that is hearing about the Halloween franchise for the first time. Like Mr Nelson said, "there's a lot of chefs in that kitchen." I take it for what it is and I love it. It's a great horror flick! At least they're trying to do right by the fans unlike Disney with the latest Star Wars trilogy.

Sean, I'd love to see more videos of your collection and recent Spirit Halloween haul if you have the time at some point, and Chris I've actually overhauled a Kills mask and 2018 mask myself and have to say I'm very surprised at how well of a job I did for my first attempts at overhauling. I sent you and Sean pictures on Instagram a while back, hopefully you saw those. Only way to learn is to do it yourself right? Haha.
