My sister Jennifer and I were there that night! We were both in college at SWT, just a few miles south of downtown Austin. I talked her into going to 6th street for Halloween, and we put together some last-minute Renaissance-style costumes! If anyone spots a 6'7" skinny white guy and his 5'4" sister wearing cheap medieval garb, please let me know. I'd love to be able to see a picture of my sis from those days.

Oh my goodness what a sad memory!! Lol. I was 21 back in 1988 and I lived in Austin, I remember a friend of mine wanted to go to 6th street that night but I was so sick with flu LOL! That Elvis guy is a savage!👏🏻

Hahahah, i was there that night. The guy in the Freddy Kruger outfit had his hat ripped off his head. The club called the world opened up that night and he was on stage at the mic talking about the grand opening of it. A friend of mine named Ali, ran over and ripped it off his head and ran. It was the funniest shit i ever seen. As far as i know he still has that hat.

I was stationed at Bergstrom AFB at this time. It was always fun, cruising 6th Street!

I was eight back then, too young to travel there, but it was a good Haloween back then nonetheless. Plenty of fun size bars and Fox WATL had all the best weekday cartoons too!
