Halloween Pinball AND Ultraman Pinball Gameplay Reveal!

Spooky Pinball gave us some early access to their two newest titles, to shine some light on where the gameplay is headed!
Few notes:
Benton WI (Where spooky is located) doesn't have the best internet, AND Ultraman's shaker motor was so rad, it knocked out our video feed/audio feeds briefly. Callouts where one other note, something in the mix didn't have the callouts coming through. All of this is early access, so more to come! :D

Halloween's sounds clips, music, and light show are all on point. The immersion is great even just watching a video, when that house opens, that chase music and red lights are badass.

Just watched the stream again with a pair of nice headphones on. The sounds, original music and Count D’S additional music especially sound phenomenal. The one house theme is a bit repetitive but I’m sure they’ll end up adjusting that down the line. The game looks like it shoots great, the uppers look fun and challenging and the return to flipper time is excellent considering what the ball has to go through to come back. The dirty pool house qualifier shot is AWESOME as well as the player staged physical extra ball at the Meyers grave that can also be utilized as an add-a-ball in modes or multi at the player’s discretion, these are the kind of clever rules/coding that help makes a game special. Overall I’m extremely impressed with how HWN looks at its current code stage. The addition of more original footage, music and polish may turn this thing into a masterpiece. Congrats to the Spooky team, your passion is showing strong in this game.

Looks fun and can't wait to try it out. "The Shape Stalks" theme during the attack mode would probably drive me a bit nuts after a few minutes. Works great in the movie, not sure if it does much for the game, although I agree it needs to be in there. Would've been cool if they could've secured rights for Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper" (since Laurie and Annie smoke a joint in her Monte Carlo to the song in the original movie.) Good thematic theme that breaks up consecutive Carpenter tracks and has direct ties to the lore of the 1978 film. Hell, the fifties Chordettes song "Mister Sandman" (used in the ending of Halloween II) would add a creepy vibe, too.

Oh man! Ultraman looks awesome! I love the feeling it gives me. The super cheesiness of the early Giant robot shows! Love it! The art is beautiful on both! Halloween is one of my all time favorite horror films, and it looks super sweet too! Thanks Jack and spooky guys for sharing and for the stream! Pro tip if you're looking for Ultraman game play: start at 1:10 (there are some snafus with the streaming feed and the streaming harness before that, just skip it). Glitches aside: impressive AF game play even in beta mode for the code. The clips are hilarious. Looking forward to more animations on the main screen awaiting modes and the callouts being a little more audible.

How do you capture footage of the LCD on a Spooky? Tried it with an Avermedia live gamer portable 2 plus capture card. Was able to pass through the video to where the images still show up on the LCD but no signal in OBS. Maybe we need an hdmi splitter with 2 video outs?

It’s solely based on the original Halloween from ‘78 so it won’t. I do love H3 but I’m glad Soooky kept it true to the original.

I thought of an awesome theme...the good the bad and the ugly.... just picture it..Tuco multiball... shoot the cannon..every time the ball hits a slingshot.. gunfire...blow up the bridge mode.. squint with Clint. Multiball...when the ball drains..aaaawwwaaa..waaa waa waaa.. this would work...

He didn't seem to have much trouble did he?". . . "... So much potential here and really all my issues can be fixed with code, music, and addition content/movie clips... super excited!

I wish I could hear callouts, they were barely there and sounded like they were too low compared to the rest of the game audio. Its also weird to say but the game is too bright for the sense of fear and dread its trying to convey.

I think manufacturers forget about players!! these LED tapes interfere a lot with the player's vision... they only think about beauty and lighting...

They don’t translate well in video. The strips are masked from the players view and can be dimmed in the settings.

That Halloween music was too slow for me. I realize the call out's weren't working in this video, which I'm sure would make a difference, but I just never got a sense of excitement from the game. Everything else is beautiful. Oh, and somebody get Jack some alcohol. He looks like he's jonesing.

I agree, compared to the Ultraman machine music the Halloween was a bit of a snooze fest and I didn't even feel like was intense or scary or anything really.. The animations are cartoony and cheesy and I thought they'd go fore a more gory, realistic type similar like the movies to get some reactions.. I don't know but I feel it missed the mark. Ultraman felt much better in my opinion.
