Jason Blum is right about lower budgets and more creative effects vs CGI

i think part of what he says is true but for horror practical effects and low budget is better but then again there have been a lot of great movies that have used CGI really well who framed roger rabbit etc

The war against the CGI is so stupid. Like the war between paper and e-books. It's what you want to tell that matters, not the tool you use.

They’re both right regarding budgets. With a larger budget, there are more possibilities; However, nothing stimulates creativity more than limitation.

Na, Jason Blum is a buisness man first and foremost. He doesn't care if a movie is trying to do something new or not. He just looks to see if it's gonna sell or not.

Jason is right about budgets. This applies to almost every form of art. The more money you have, the less inspired the final product.. Look no further than John Carpenter to see the evidence. His best films are from the early period of his career when his budgets were modest.

Blumhouse makes terrible movies. Its a shame what their doing to the new Halloween. Plus John wrote, directed, made Halloween 1978 but he sold the rights to for the series and now he is changing the the timelines and erasing the characters biography.

New halloween, this is a direct sequel to the original. Seems to me your confusing film with video. Halloweens 78 and 18 are true films. The other halloween movies were just vhs Era slasher flicks. Unless your referring to rob zombies snuff films he named after the real classic.
