I love your art. I did my first Steampunk unusual jewelry box. It will be a gift to my Grandson. Who buys these unusual art products? I think this will be my Grandson’s cup of tea. But i cant think of anyone else who would want such a thing. I love them and think it would be fun to make them.

This turned out so well! I do have a question: is there a reason to use the heavy gesso instead of black paint as the base. TY! :)

thanks! gesso ia a primer and has a natural, mast finish, perfect to work on. It is sticky and stays well on surfaces. Black paints vay in stickiness, how opaque and matte they are and how hard/easy it is to work on the top of them. Gesso is a dedicated product for the first layers!
