An employee told me that the 40% sale price is what joanns considers their full price item because it is always 40% off at the minimum, like you said the second it hits shelves it's 40% off. The reason they don't just say " here is a 79$ item" instead of that being the 40% off price, is solely so that we can't use coupons on them ever as they are "already market down"

It's psychological. JC Penney tried have regular pricing (what sale price would be) and no sales. It failed miserably. They went back to higher pricing and having sales. Shoppers want to feel like they're getting a deal.

Yes!!! This is what I've been saying. They want you to think you're getting a deal, but I've gotten so many comments about Joann's being expensive. I use to think the same thing a long time ago until I realized they put things on sale as soon as they hit the shelf.

The 40% sale price on these items is still 30% higher than most other stores. They have some nice things but they are way too expensive.

@@Steeleething respectfully, everyone has a different opinion on what is expensive and what they can afford. I do think some things are marked too high for what they are and some things I think are reasonable, but that's just my opinion.

Did you have a closeup of the glass purple pumpkins with constellations? They had lights inside. The pictures on their website show that the constellations are all backwards 🤦🏼‍♀️. I was just curious what they looked like in person.
