Apparently they didn't use any CGI in making the music video - I guess just clever camera/perspective tricks for the fireball, perhaps over-layering shots. There are clips from behind-the-scenes video that shows the falling floor behind Jungkook and the glitching phone screens being controlled. I like the song a lot, it's probably my 3rd favourite BTS title track I think at the moment, behind I NEED U and Danger. I like it because it takes the guitar elements from Danger and RUN, and it has the same feeling of sincerity/seriousness and kind of vulnerability as you say of Danger and I NEED U, and the darker feeling of Danger/Dark and Wild, rather than just being a fun song. The heavy bass is probably amazing to bump to in the car! The aesthetic of the video is more like Blood, Sweat, and Tears, but their outfits look more like the ones from DNA. One of the nice things about BTS becoming more successful is that it gives them an even more massive budget each time for their music videos, to create something even more amazing. I think all the songs on the new album, Love Yourself: Tear, are quite different from each other, and different from what BTS has done before, showing their growth and maturing as you say, with a little bit of their flirtation with more electronic music and instrumentation from their last mini album, as you say. I enjoyed the whole album more than the last one - just as with DNA, there's nothing wrong with it, and I quite like Love Yourself: Her, I just prefer most of the other stuff that they've done before, and are doing with Love Yourself: Tear.

The snickers come from Hobi’s short film in Wings😂but I enjoyed the reaction! This song is like BS&T had a baby with DNA, lol.

Like your reaction, the reason I came into kpop is BTS, I watched them on TV last year they win Billboard so I was curious, than I watched Not today and I was impressed. Their music videos have high quality production and look like movies, not just videos. That song has a deep meening which has to do with all members, water means depression, fire means angry, that empty room at the end is emptyness, when Jungkook ran and floor breaks is when you run from your own feelings, V in that dark place with smartphones lightning on the walls you can see the message '' Save me'' and when you turn '' I'm fine'' has to do with Wings album Stigma, J-hope with Snikers means drugs, RM in that creepy place looking at the mirror is other dimension. I like that they put a lot of effort and they are very creative. I can say the song goes perfect with choreography, is intimate and make you curious.

SNICKERS is because that was the last gift jhope's mom gave to him before she abandoned him. (bts storyline) FIRE & WATER are the methods suga & jimin used to commit suicide in the bts storyline since I NEED U era.

baconx is it real story of j-hope? If his mother abandoned when he was child? Sorry i don't understand?

I love this song, and the album has moved into my #1. Wings had to go to #2. I'm not going to get into the story line, but each boy is associated with certain things since 2016. Jin/flower, RM/mirrors, Suga/fire, Jhope/Snickers, Jimin, water, V/phones, and Jungkook/?. If you missed the flower, it was in the lantern in the very first shot, and Jin was trying to protect it during the wind scene.

the snickers were in the BTS short films in the wings era. BTS MVs from HYYH, Wings, Highlight Reel and Love Yourself era are related. BTS music are deeper than just rhythm and melody, there's a complex meaning and stories! BTS is the best! there's nothing like BTS!

Idk if u know, but the "save me" in the music video also says "I'm fine" when its upside down. This saying is relatable for those who have/are battling with depression and suicide. & it's interesting to see all of the technology/phones/social media on the walls enclosing Taehyung, while the wall he is looking at (in front of him) is all scratched up like as if someone has been trapped in a room trying to get out. They're def saying something about modern society and how it's affecting young people cus that scene made me feel some type of way. Also if u see the white hands (statue-looking) background and put a face in the middle of it, the two hands cover the eyes, hand on the right covers the mouth, and the hand on the left covers the ear. They wanted to incorporate the old saying of "see no evil, speak no evil, and hear no evil" into the music video. Basically saying that, that's how people approach the dark side of love (we want to ignore it and not confront it). I swear, everything BTS puts out is arT and these guys are just getting better within time. I'm excited to see what music and music videos they will put out in the future! This MV was a continuous from their previous album but with a darker concept. The snickers are part of the story line; "you're not you when you're hungry". I guess it relates to the concept of Fake Love.

Though "Fake Love" is your fav. choice as compared to "DNA", but by saying (how much you dislike DNA) is too hush. We got to understand DNA has created popularities & recognitions overseas in 2017. Thus to me both songs are equally great too. 🤗 (base on my opinion only).
