Not sure about Nailz, but personally I would never speedrun this game because it kills the nostalgia factor for myself. Halo is like dark chocolate. You should savor it for what it was.

I used to hold a work record for coop RE5 and solo RE7, never did enough practice to come within 20 minutes for combat evolved, but I've never had any issues. It's like playing totally different games imo

The point of the mission is to save the marines, so if they are alive you have to clear all of the covenant and wait for the pelicans to pick them up at each point. So when you kill the marines there is nobody to save so you can skip to the next location.
