This is my favorite Halo game. It isn't just nostalgia, it's about the ambiguity to some extent. It's like when a quality Sci Fi film is set in a more confined space, I always enjoy those because they seem raw. Halo CE seemed the most intense to me because you're stranded on the ring, fighting an alien race that is more advanced and hell bent on wiping out the surviving crew. The Flood is described as a nuisance by many reviewers, but that's exactly why I enjoy it so much. It makes the second act of the game desperate. And despite the redundancy of returning to the control room in reverse, it really hammers in how grim the situation is. It's almost a sigh of relief fighting the covenant again after The Library. You almost forget about The Flood until it's complete chaos when it's reintroduced. You see The Covenant giving it all they've got and still succumbing to the infection. I didn't mean to write that much, and I know it's disorganized. But yeah I love Halo CE.

I played when Halo 1 on my Xbox (not Xbox one or 360 just Xbox) and I loved it the campaign had a great story one of the best games I played during that time and the game play is great the graphics in the past were great so all I have to say is that Halo is the best game I ever played. (Every person had there own voice which I loved also forgot to say that in the sentence).Finally, my favorite mission is "The Silent Cartographer " and "Assault On The Control Room" the game is sad too at some parts where Cortana leaves Master Chief but its good they come back to together in weird so yea I'm done typing now. You can speedrun "assault on the control room if you kill the elites at the banshee on th bridge near the tower of the control room, then take the banshee and fly right to the rntrance of the control room, it saves about 5 to 10 minutes

Bas Emaus you can speedrun the entire mission by "stealing" the first banshee you encounter at the beginning of the mission. Saves like an hour of gameplay :)

i remember getting my og xbox when i was just 6 years old... eh 2006-2007. my uncle brought over the xbox and some of the games (halo ce, halo 2, star wars ep. 3) and soon our collection grew to include battlefront 2 and so on. but i remember us having a furnished basement and i would always keep the lights off and for the next 2 years try to beat halo 1 and 2. WITH A DUKES CONTROLLER tiny 6 year old hands on a controller i can still barely hold but love it to bits and will never forget me and my brother would always 1v1 eachother and come up with our own games within 1v1 like smashing vehicles into eachother and see who lasts.
