0:12 I like the character development here for R'tas and Arby. Whe they return from the mine, R'tas gives Arbiter an nod of acknowledgment and respect in the council chamber as they pass each other. Here, after what they've experienced (separately as well as together), we see that R'tas is now basically unquestioning of Arbiter. Great foreshadowing of his eventual leadership of the Elites

The thing is R’tas and Thel already have a history together as the former was under the latter’s command during Halo CE. There was already a form of respect between the two and R’tas never had any real animosity towards Thel even on the Phantom going on his first mission. R’tas at first had to put on an uncaring attitude towards Thel because of political reasons rather than personal. Halo 2 made them proper allies and Halo 3 made them genuine friends.

It's also why the Prophets ordered Tartarus to kill Arbiter, he turning the mantle of Arbiter from that of shame to heroism again too quickly.

Halo 2 had an energy that no other halo game has ever captured again, and probably no game ever has. I could just sit listening to the soundtrack to this game for hours and not get bored.

​@@rasplez9889 The second installment of a trilogy typically does have an extremely energetic "we pulled off something great, now let's just go crazy and one up ourselves in every way we can" feeling. Halo 2 certainly didn't disappoint. And the remaster thankfully recaptured a lot of that.

10:35 damn hearing the groans and shrieking of the flood as he slowly turns around sends chills down the spine...I can't even imagine something like that taking place in real life, I probably wouldn't be alive for long. You also notice that when Tartarus calls 'Vadum a coward for not following along, which he is no coward of course, the Arbiter has no comment. Obviously the Arbiter does not like Tartarus and probably does not trust him.

I think Tartarus was just mad he didn’t get the opportunity to kill both of them at the same time. Truth probably wanted Rtas dead as well because he knew he could and did rally the other Elites.

I'm watching this because i'm playing the re-release on PC and i swear my difficulty Is bugged. I'm playing on 'normal' and i'm getting REKT by the flood. Don't remember the game being this hard

Yes and randomly have fallen of it too just by jumping it almost speeds up and when I land the gondola is gone

@@DeanT1987 Yeah. When you jump and hit something you slide the hell out of the gondola. Happened to me twice. But what annoyed me the most is that when I tried to aim at the flood it kinda just bugs out and aims away. This part of the mission is kinda broken.
