works great in every halo after 2 but even with that tactic the second half of halo 2 is a world of shit. The difficulty of the halo games really ramps up AFTER gravemind, which for me was only the tip of the iceberg. The only consistent way ive found to kill brutes when playing as the cheif, is landing multiple headshots in a split second or avoiding them altogether depending on the ammo situation. When playing as arbiter do not fight them head on. Take advantage of his active camo and use your energy sword on their backs.

On Halo 2 legendary, they're dumb and cowards, making it much easier to fight elites/grunts/jackals. Halo 2 is still the harder game though imo because of the huge battles that include 10+ elites and because of how sniper jackals are broken.

+Gaston Boucher true. Halo CE grunts are harder to take out and seem to have better aim than in Halo 2. Elites also tend to have a better strafe and charge more quickly (zealot elites in particular) in CE. The only reason, for me at least, that Halo 2 is difficult is because of jackal snipers, everything else isn't so bad.

Halo 2 is incredible in every way, but from my own experience, playing the game on Legendary is literally an endurance test of patience and skill. The Jackal Snipers are literally the biggest bane of your existence in this game. You're basically slowed to a crawl when you come up on a group of them, and you're forced to get a sniper/beam rifle and slowly scan your surroundings in the hopes that you can find at least ONE of those bastards and that they don't spot and kill you first. The game ended up being pretty scary at times to be honest.. I'm sure Bungie heard the complaints. Thankfully, Halo 3 balances this issue out. Jackal Snipers have a visible headset with a light on it, so they're easier to spot to kill. And they almost always miss their first shot when they see you, and they delay the second shot for a few seconds, so they give you enough time to find cover. It's definitely much better there.

For me Halo 3 on normal/heroic is harder than Halo 2 on normal/heroic because I suck at large scale battles. But legendary Halo 2 is just insane, it is the FPS version if Kaizo Mario. It has so many things that are just tough *Jackal Snipers: Just burn, they can shoot a flea's eye off from 1000 miles in darkness so dark it is advance darkness *Plasma Rifle = Minigun with a jet engine attatched *The drones are the devil's flies *Alleyways of duel wielding major and ultra elites. I sware the tunnel in Metropolis is an endurance test *Gravemind/Uprising: I fear playing them, because if I get my butt kicked on NORMAL for them, I can imagine having to take sleeping pills so I do not wake up screaming every night because I played them on legendary

It still kinda baffles the fuck out of me that people say that halo 2 has the best campaign, REALLY?! Halo 2 on legendary is sooo fucking hard, I've beaten it twice on legendary and the only thing I say I like about halo 2 is how it plays, it feels awesome but its so rng based.

Broey it got cut 2 times once with the engine not working on the xbox so they had to scrap it and twice with some of the story like a covenant cruiser mission infact it was supposed to be 2 and 3 but they didn't have time or space to put it there.
