An absolute choke job of an ending, but this is still world record. I will continue to grind this on my stream this week. Thanks so much everybody for watching and supporting. This is the first time I've held this world record in about 10 years. I'm really proud that I was able to come back and prove that I've still got it.
The timer at the end of the run is not accurate, it is just what runners use to keep track of their pace manually during the run. After retiming, this run is 2 seconds faster than the previous world record. It uses a trick that saves about 30 that the old record doesnt do though. I plan to improve to a sub 1:10 soon.

I didn't used to get so nervous during runs, but after taking a long break and coming back I do now. It's definitely hard to perform at that skill level for an hour+ while acutely aware of the pace and time that I've invested over the years. I think now that I've finally got the record back, it will be easier to stay calm.

Hopefully, yes. I don't speed run but I feel like looking at splits would make me super nervous if I was close to a PB. Have you ever considered trying to run without looking at the timer? I've never seen a runner who doesn't though so maybe there's a reason.

@@vox3434 I know if its a good run whether I can see the timer or not. Knowing the exact pace helps me make decisions to exactly how risky I need to play to achieve a goal time. There was actually a run I had this week where my timer crashed mid-run, but I continued to do the speedrun. My twitch chat used their own timer to keep track and they were surprised that I was able to know the exact time the levels took, even without seeing the timer.

@@Snaver Slightly faster dialogue than English. Its about 12 seconds over the course of the entire game. It saves time on the sections where you have to wait for lines before a door opens. According to our current knowledge and route it is the fastest version.

When you’re clipping through for Cairo at the beginning, how do you know how many times to bump into the objects before u can walk through wall

Im counting the number of times the screen shakes in a particular way. For the first one I count 8 good bumps. For the second one, I like to do 10, but 8 also works if Im feeling like going fast. The difference between a good and a bad bump is kind of subtle, but it has to do with the shake when you hit the box. If it kinda jolts forward as you hit, then that is a good bump.
