I completed Halo 2 Vista on a laptop that wasn't optimized for it and used a god awful Logitech PS2 style controller because I wasn't used to mouse and keyboard at the time. It took me about 2 weeks to beat legendary. No aim assist, 10-16 FPS, bad internet causing me to reset missions when it cuts off, ect. I even got the scarab gun twice. Once when before I picked it up the internet died and it didn't give me achievement, the second time I got it. Both times using the banshee method. I had a lot of patience back than.

I played si much halo ce that when i first played halo 2 i thought it was bad game (dual guns, flying enemies, laser gun, no night mode) but i was wrong

Ohhh so you still get magnetism, just no reticle friction... Slightly more playable. I thought it would also take away magnetism and that the game would be *comepletely* unplayable. edit: well that was pretty crazy =D

aiming without aim assist is really hard so its crazy impressive that he can still aim this well, i think he plays mouse and keyboard in halo 3 tho

@@daq2473 tbh. If u wanna make ur aim really good play that. I play halo 2 without aim assist all the time sometimes so when I go to multiplayer I just fuck people up. Tbh I feel better then I’ve ever been at halo because of it. I can snipe so easy now and everything no scope people across map with ease it’s kinda insane. Ik it seems annoying but playing halo 2 no aim assist is a good way to be so skilled at just raw aiming when the aim assist comes back and so on. U gotta be able to quickly flick to the sniper Jackles. And I never did it to improve for be better I did it to just fuck around best all of halo 2 on legendary with 6 random sculls on that increased enemy awareness and so on and then when I went to play multiplayer I just felt really good lol. So if ur a controller player wanting to improve ur aim do that. It really helps.

@@daq2473 unfortunately not. I wanted to do it for halo 3 in the campaign but there is no skull so i was like I’ll just look in settings and for some reason there isn’t one anymore. So really the only game I think u can do it in is halo 2. I know we used to be able to they really need to add the aim assist option back. The aim still translates to halo 3 if u already have ok aim in halo 3 with doing the thing in halo 2 but unfortunately u can only do it on halo 2 that I’ve found.

I always play Halo 2 without aim assist the launch of MCC. I feel like I'm way better there that I am with aim assist on.
