+Silver .Shadow The Halo 2 in MCC was a copy/paste of the Halo 2 Vista version instead of the original Xbox version. That Elite will always have 1 rifle and not dual. It's 1 of the many changes Bungie made when they released Halo 2 for Vista in 2007. 343 Industries simply copied that one.

0:38 that Elite who is dual-wielding always has 1 rifle when I play. I'm on the MCC Halo 2, which is a copy/paste of the Halo 2 Vista version. My assumption is you're playing the original Xbox version of Halo 2 because that entire dialogue at 0:59 was cut out of the Vista version. Back in 2007, Bungie made numerous small gameplay changes before porting Halo 2 over to PC, which includes the ones I mentioned above. Another one is in Uprising when the first group of Elites get dropped to help you. On Xbox they would follow you through the mission, but on Vista they stay behind and will just respawn later.

Eli Flynn they took away their dual wielding from the VISTA version. Vista Halo 2 was put into MCC, and not the Xbox Halo 2 like it should have been.

After he made his holograms, I lit his ass up and he exploded without even going into hiding. Took me a second to realise what had just happened. I can see your comment even though you removed it. I was actually hoping someone would mention why I didn't just use an unlimited Sword and a Fuel Rod Gun, and I have a good set of reasons why I didn't. 1) It's an exploit 2) It requires you to carry a weapon over from the previous mission. You can't do that if you start on this mission. 3) It's not necessary. I didn't once have a problem with ammo. 4) (Most importantly) It makes it impossible to arm your Elite allies with Energy Swords!

Yes, but that requires carrying it over from the previous mission. You can do the same thing with the sword (one shot, and it destroys the body) too.

When I either get my computer fixed, or when I get a new computer. I've had a motherboard failure (similar to the Red Ring). Luckily, my hard drive is completely intact, which means that my Delta Halo vid (which was completely finished and ready to be rendered when my computer died on me) is intact. The goal was to do Halo 2, and Halo 3 walkthroughs before Halo 4, but it looks like that's not going to happen.

What never made sense was how the covenant could lose to the flood given the fact that they could make themselves invisible for as long as they wanted to. So if they can remain invisible, how can they lose? They only need light swords and kill anything

Very difficult to to time it correctly amidst the rest of the chaos. Throw the grenade too early, and it goes flying when the Carrier Form pops. Too late, and the Infection Forms will scatter.

This walkthrough is good except for the elevator part if playing on Halo 2: Anniversary. I say this as the elites can't duel wield weapons thus I equipped one of my elites with a sentinel laser, the other one with an energy sword, and the 1 grunt that managed to survive with a plasma rifle. I also used a Sentinel laser and Energy sword myself. The results were surprising and quite satisfying as I managed to get both elites and the grunt to the bottom of the elevator and their assistance later in the level was quite useful.

Notice how the laboratory is different than other Forerunner structures. Pale white, with tiled floors, with stasis tanks for the Flood. It looks eerily like human archeitecture and forboding even after being derelict for so long. Too bad we never got to see the main station the mine was hanging from.

Either it was normal or even easy... Fuzzy details. It was a long time ago, and when I was a kid the flood scared the shit outta me. however, the only difference I notice between the difficulties is that you take more damage. At least, thats what I think.

+Dark Legate You couldn't be more wrong. Halo is special because not only do you take more damage, but the enemies are stronger, more aggressive, come in larger numbers, and most importantly, they are _smarter_. Also, The Heretic boss is unique on Legendary, because it takes 4 hits to kill him, and he gains arbitrary invincibility until the fourth round. So no, you can't just run at him and stick him with a grenade.

It runs out of ammo too quickly, and isn't abundant enough in this mission for you to use one. Giving it to your ally is an interesting idea, but I believe it is comparable to a single plasma rifle, meaning that DUAL plasma rifles would be much better.

i found the grunts at the first is really, really useful, i strongly recommend to keep them alive as you did for the elites. if they survived to the elevator, giving them needlers will make them flood killer. it wont be worse than 2 additional elites.i just love the grunts. in the room after the elevator, they do a great job on the flood carrier forms which is dangerous (at least for me) to kill them in close combat. i also found that i didnt need to pay much attention to keep them away from the infection form, they can do that themselves by sticking to the elites. btw, very nice video walkthrough and thanks for that

One strategy I like is right after you get a carrier to fall down, stick him with a plasma grenade, that way as soon as the infection forms burst out they're already taken out by the grenade - not to say this video isn't fantastic.

Wow the elevator part was actually kinda fun but the next room with the flood was hell for me trying to keep my elites alive. They would die over and over again, or I would die. When I played this on normal I thought the missions 2 and 3 were just one and missions 4 and 5 were one too. So for me at the end of this missions I had finished only three missions. I felt the campaign was short back them but now I believe it's the longest campaign on legendary.

Small tip for the boss fight: The real heretic leader fires his plasma rifle faster than the holograms do. The sentinel beam (you can find near the elevator) was also pretty effective against their shields too.

tom chan I found the sentinel beam to be the most effective against shields. I also used active camo and plasma grenades as well. Just remember to stick the one which fires fastest.

ASAP, but unfortunately, that means it's going to be a while. It takes roughly 7-8 hours to render a video in Vegas, and it requires a lot of computing power. My computer keeps overheating after the first 30 minutes, and does an emergency shutoff. There's something wrong with my computer (I think either the fan is broken, or the thermal paste needs to be replaced) I've had Mission 6, Delta Halo ready for about a month now, and I'm really upset that I haven't been able to render it.

Instead of relying on the sword to destroy flood corpses, cant you just shoot off both of their arms so they become useless if they do get reanimated? If I'm not mistaken, if you shoot off both of their arms while they are alive, they just "self-destruct" and turn back into an infection form after a few seconds.

That's an interesting way you've worded that. Whatever magazine you're reading may not be completely wrong with that statement, it all depends on what they were trying to say. IF they meant "The best weapon to use against Combat Forms is the Sentinel Beam." then that's obviously wrong because we all know that the best weapon for Combat Forms is the Energy Sword. HOWEVER, if they meant "The best enemies to use a Sentinel Beam against are Combat Forms." then that may have some truth to it. I didn't use one in this mission, but in Sacred Icon, I use a Sentinel Beam against both Combat Forms and Sentinels with fairly effective results. It just runs out of charge so quickly that you're going to have to constantly swap it out with a replacement if you try to use one. I opted not to in this mission because you don't have a constant supply of them from respawning Sentinels.

now what you could have done scince you were on ledgandary (you may have done it) forget about the flood after the elevator part and look around before dropping down. There is gonna be about 4 combat form that will have the animation of them being revived, they won't attack you, and what is in the center of their cricle, pick up the skull and it will make weapons you find have less ammo
