I remember hearing this on the 360 in the final days of Halo 3 before online matchmaking got shut down. Looking back, I'm actually glad I had trouble signing in to Xbox Live one day and was stuck on the title screen, since otherwise, I would not have heard this music and enjoyed a nice emotional moment before Halo 3 multiplayer ended forever. Thank you for this video, VGP, since thinking about this song makes me want to get the Halo 3 soundtrack now.

Back when I had itunes and it showed how many times I played each song, I saw that i played this song over 10,000 times. Its melancholy and hopefulness powered me through some dark times. Never forget hit home for me. I learned how to play it in a simplistic way on piano for myself, to be able to feel the song. This is the best I've heard anyone play it. Bravo! Truly a masterpiece.

Funeral for my teen years, and early 20s. For the amazement & fun that was experienced in Halo 3. Unfortunately the multiplayer was too toxic (teabagged, being called racial slurs, & being shot down by teammates) in my experience, and it weighed on me for years. Now I release the past.
