Halo 3 LASO: The Ark | Hammer Chieftain Load Manipulation

As soon as you hit the new loading point and open the door, immediately walk back upstairs to the section of the penultimate cutscene.
These attempts worked every time, tested on both regular Legendary and LASO.
My theory on this: the final section where you 1v1 the hammer chieftain remains a map barrier kill zone until another loading zone is initiated. If you return to the upper part of the map before initiating the new loading zone (termination of kill zone), the chieftain walks into the door and instantly dies.
If you attempt to jump down to the final area following the penultimate cutscene, there is a map kill zone.
Noticed this happen to me about a year ago and began to test the consistency. 100% success rate in both forms of attempts.
