Halo 3 ODST Legendary Walkthrough: Mission 5 - NMPD HQ

This mission was the best for me by far for many reasons. At the last check point, the Alfa 9 squad (i think it is called like that) was at their full strengh when you and Buck reunite with the others, making you momentarily forget they were not spartans, but with all those power weapons, the soundtrack (which ironically is called "air traffic control") and luck they were kinda like spartans holding their ground for a couple minutes, not even considering ODSTs are the ones who look the closest to spartans with their armor and helmets and they are a tier below spartans. On the other hand, the "hold the ground" zone doesnt make sense if you think about it, cause Banshees could just obliterate them with fuel rod shots, but bungie decided to not made it that way because plot armor i guess. It is very odd too that the crashed pelican, which was the same pelican we saw in ONI alpha base, was loaded with a fuck ton of rocket launcher, missile pod launchers and spartan lasers, might as well stay in the crash site camping the whole covenant war till they take down every ship they see on the air lol All things considered, i really liked halo odst

I love this game, the amount of memories and fun I had playing this with my brother and by myself. The music, the new type of story telling, it's my favorite halo game.

Nice job. Funny how Buck becomes a Spartan in Halo 5 and he even mentions when he was an ODST, there was no "gray bs". Those jackal snipers get annoying if you're not careful or don't take them out asap.

What makes the cutscene in the end compare to other difficulties this level is played on is that a comically large amount of Romeo's blood squirts out when he moves his hand after Buck asked him how he was doing.

Hey Hokie, So I'm playing this game again on xbox one and in the big room before the sniper gauntlet with all the sniper rifles and health packs there actually is an almost full pistol in the center area with all the health packs on the table by a dead police officer. Just thought i'd put that out there for those who didn't know cause i don't see any comments on this video about it. I also know you are planning on doing a Halo 3: ODST live stream in the near future from what you were saying prior to its release.

I gave Buck a sniper at the beginning of the level and he did NOTHING with it. He makes you kill all the enemies and tells you to hurry up the whole mission. Haha

The last part of that mission is a lot of fun! I didn't want it to end. You liked the music on that part: sounds a lot like like the music in Descent, if you don't know the game. (Very similar guitar.) (My son liked that music so much, he tracked down a CD of it.)

I don't get why Romeo was rapid firing the sniper like that. As a sniper, shouldn't he be more conservative, or at least have better aim?

Well, with a Jiralhanae Chieftain coming straight for you with a Gravity Hammer, just about anyone would be blindly and rapidly firing off their weapon at it :P Oh, and if it's regarding the Banshee attack earlier, then, well, let's just say he ain't Linda-058 :P

The Fuel Rod Gun in the hands of an ally works best at tearing up ground-based targets, whereas the primary threats here are all aerial. A Spartan Laser is definitely a good idea though, and there are a few available.
