Halo 5: Guardians - Dimkee Hotay Dialogue

Dimkee Hotay is one of those characters in Halo that most a lot of players would have missed while playing through the Halo 5: Guardians campaign, but he easily has some of the funniest lines of dialogue in the entire series. This video compiles everything he says, from fourth-wall breaks to funny little observations he's made. Here's to hoping he returns in some form in Halo Infinite.
This was one of the earliest videos I worked on, and I put considerable effort into trying to add visuals that I believed would make the video funnier. Hopefully it worked!

There's a wiki about him where he tried to escape a dangerous place with his Unngoy unit, and believed the escape ship was a solo pilot cabin, and his entire unit ended up killing each other. When he got to the ship, he learned it could easily fit the whole unit, and kept rocks with him so he wasn't alone. Dudes seen some shit

As a kid I'd like to leave one grunt behind alive. It made me feel like his encounter with me was so terrifying that he would tell others of his life threatening experience and would build up my legend amongst the Covenant. Guess this must be the guy. Glad to see he changed his ways.

Creds to the Wiki: "At one point, Hotay was stationed at a very dangerous location with numerous fellow Unggoy. As it grew more dangerous at the location, with the Unggoy apparently under the threat of the location exploding before night time, Hotay led his fellow Unggoy to a ship that he believed only could hold one Unggoy. When the other Unggoy learned of the ship's small size, many of them fought and killed each other in an attempt to be the one to gain access to the ship, cried, or died making heroic sacrifices. Soon, Hotay was the only survivor among the Unggoy unit. When he finally reached the ship, Hotay realized that the vessel was actually quite large and could easily have fit all of his now-deceased comrades. As he left the location aboard the ship to reach safety, Hotay brought several piles of rocks with him for "company" I cried.. :(

According to what he says, he has met the chief, the Arbiter, has seen the gravemind, met the Didactic and jul’mdama, which means he was also a part of the storm faction of the covenant and was found by Jul. Going by that logic, he knew the war was over an STILL joined in on Jul’s war. He then sometime between halo 4 Spartan ops and halo 5 joined the swords and if he is talking about the origins of the flood in the last clip, he was able to read a forerunner terminal detailing the origins of the flood. This grunt has seen it all.
