I also played Havoc for the first time a few days ago. Greatly enjoyed it, somewhat balanced wih the chaos from the extra allies and ennemies in the levels. I always wanted Halo CE on a greater scale, with more AI and larger battles. This mod mostly delivers on this. I played on Normal, I think I will play it again on Heroic difficulty.

The cannon is more accurate by a lot. It's just that since the shot travels from the end of the barrel and isn't slaved to the crosshair, you have to account for height clearance, turret alignment, elevation and range... But you can pinpoint it easier than you could base game. It's one of the few things I can praise this mod for without caveat.

Really enjoyed this mod, Keyes felt like a very different level. Spawn was different and the flood chasing you at certain points and overwhelming the covenant was a nice touch, even though what cortana said about a strike team to neutralize the flood didn't make any sense in this version. My only complaint would be the engine room on the maw. Unless you abuse the checkpoint triggers and knowing where they are, this room has just too many flood spawns and gets tedious if you don't trigger the hallway checkpoint after each reactor.

I had this problem with SPV3 as well, sadly, but it feels like so many encounters are flash without substance. LOOK AT ALL THE STUFF! And the weapons feel super redundant. Also what did they *do* to my music and scripting?

I feel like because of the amount of marines you get, the unsc seem to outclass the covenant. Super fun in game to watch the interactions but I wish the covenant were a little more beefy or something somehow to make it feel a bit more lore accurate. Amazing regardless though Edit: I’m only on TNR btw so maybe the tides shift throughout the game

I love the changes but the marines are now OP in my opinion. It’s not even hard to defeat them. If both were equally difficult and the amount of enemy was just as great it would be better. Again my opinion.
