I don’t need the fence for my yard. It would be more useful for taking her to the lake. I want to keep her close to our campsite and not going into other camps. Would it work to quickly setup a boundary at our campsite/lake location? I wouldn’t need to save these fences/boundaries. Just for a day out but it sounds like these are more for regular areas where you spend time. Does it have the ability to just put a x distance radius from you?

I've setup fences miles away from my house while sitting in my house. It doesn't matter where you want the fence to be and it will stay in the app as one of your fences until you go in and delete it. If you want to setup a fence out at the lake, you can do that as quickly and easily as setting one up at home. In fact, you can set a fence up at the lake while you're sitting at home. Just don't activate the fence within your app! It will think your dog is way outside of the active fence lol. When you're ready and set up at camp, you can jump on the app and turn the fence on.

Why didn't you discuss price of the subscriptions??

Thank you for both your videos on Halo 3 and SpotOn. I’m trying to decide which one is best and your videos are definitely a help. My property is quite wooded - glad to see you mention that the Halo works well even with tree cover. Do you have any problems with false corrections in the house? One of my boundaries would have to run within 15 - 20 along one side of the house and is wooded.

The Halo has been very accurate for me, despite the tree canopy. I do have a fairly wide opening with clear sky in front of my back door, so I don’t observe much movement there. Both the Halo and the SpotOn do shift somewhat, no more than maybe five feet in or out. I’ve experienced less shift with the SpotOn but its not enough of a separating factor to make it the go-to choice over the Halo. I drew my lines inside of my physical fence and the boundary is wide enough that it vibrates the collar when the dogs get close to the physical fence. Hope that helps! Spot on gave me false corrections and it would at time fail at the fence so I’m here to try Halo hoping for a better result. I too have a doberman

I hate the fact that for the price of the collar they don't send you the cube to plug the cable into!

It’s pretty standard for businesses to do that today. It helps to reduce the price on the product because they figure that USBs and ports are so universal that there is no need to provide a box. It’s like getting a brand new car without a spare tire. Instead, you get a donut. It’s aggravating but it’s essentially the new business model.

How did you find the training process to follow?
@WorldAnimalFdn11 ай бұрын
I would just say that the training modules are excellent because they’re visual. However, it depends on the dog and whether it’s had any previous training and how receptive it is. My Dobermans had extensive personal training prior to the Halo 3, so they already had a degree of discipline going in. But, for those who have never trained their dogs before, the visual assistance is great because it helps to be able to see exactly what the training entails, rather than reading and trying to emulate it. All dogs are different so it will obviously work better with some than it will with others.
