Not if it's made to ENHANCE the diamond rather than overpower it - the halo needs to be made proportional and also using the same color as the main diamond.

If you have a truly premium stone such as a D flawless VVS1, it’s a crime to add a halo and distract from its beauty. If it’s a lesser stone or a small center diamond, then go for it.
