Btw InfernoPlus, on Vinny's Cursed Halo Multiplayer stream, his suggestion to bend the "Longer" map for extra travel distance, is made even more mentally destroying when you realise what happens to the nav marker. The map would loop into a kind of donut, with both bases next to eachother and seperated by just a wall. The more you travel, the bigger the nav marker's distance gets. You will only know the middle point when the number counts down instead. Even worse, if you don't know that it's a ring shape map, then you might think that the curved path is a red herring, which it very well could be, and then you'd search for a path that you might've missed, but it's in vain, and then if you learn the shape of the map, you'll be punched in the gut even harder by the realisation that the map really is that fucked. This idea is so cursed. Dew it. Break them brains even further beyond.

I would have put a wall down the middle of 99% of the map so they not only have to walk all the way to the end, they also have to walk all the way back. Basically doubles the distance. Also, completely hides the distance of the map since the flags will be almost right next to each other with just a wall between them for extra mental damage.

As someone who recently went through this mod, it is a feat that InfernoPlus managed to make The Library my favorite mission in the campaign. Having Sergeant Johnson rolling around with an aimbot shotgun and witty dialogue just improved it so much that I genuinely could not stop smiling. It made me miss him all the much more :( However I would like to submit a uh, small bug report. If you throw a D20 grenade and get the OOF effect, Johnson dies, but you can still hear his dialogue, like a Ghost of Halos past. You can also pick up his weapon, which is coded as a bottomless clip version of a normal weapon to make the AI work and not have to spend forever reloading. Which means that, if you get really lucky, you can carry around an infinite ammo shotgun for the rest of the level.

I've been holding onto this concept for a while, and I believe it would be a wonderful addition to your mod. As you hop into the escape pod, you have the option to turn it around, causing everyone to scream as you hurtle towards a Covenant ship at a snail's pace. Suddenly, a cutscene starts in which the pod gets two machine guns and a gauss gun as Seraphs and Banshees begin to blast at you(think of the game play kinda like Starfox or some arcade game). Finally, You activate the pod's gauss cannon to shoot a hole in the ship and crash into the hull of the Covenant ship, and the real battle begins[it kinda reminds me of a cut halo 2 level]. You start taking out the enemy forces one by one. But it's not going to be an easy fight to say the least, with you and the remaining marines must navigate through an overly complicated labyrinth of enemies and intentional bad map design then you'll have to use all of your skills and tactics to overcome the BIG GRUNT. But the real challenge comes when you reach the bridge of the ship and finally face Thel 'Vadam one on one, in a battle reminiscent of Metal Gear Rising. Idk if this would work or be possible in the first place but it sounded pretty cool in my mind, if you want more details just let me know :)

8:25 Inferno, I need you to know that those damn grenades actually gave me PTSD. After a long night playing the original cursed halo mod, I went to work _slightly_ more sleep deprived than usual. Apparently this song was on the stores shopping playlist, because it started playing, and for a very confusing and terrifying moment, activated my fight or flight response. Edit: just finished playing the campaign again. Throwable warthogs were a stroke of pure genius, and the double jump is utterly divine. Futzing around with the flashlight button for spin kicks sucked though, especially given how precise the timing has to be. 8/10, most fun I've had playing Halo in years

I don't think that fighting the situation is doing indie VAs any favors. It's just not a good career path, just like being a performance band. We have recorded music, soon we will have good AI voice acting, it's not a bad thing at all. It will empower creators, and lead to lots of new great content of all manners. It's unfortunate that this career path is next to fade in the path of advancement, but it's worth it.
