HALO INFINITE IN 2024: Is it Worth Playing?

Halo Infinite took us all by surprise when we all saw the reveal trailer and it captured our curiosity and attention. On release we all had our own opinions on the game, multiplayer in particular, and it seems throughout the community feelings were sour and it felt like the game was left in the dust with 343 trying to piece the game together into what we all expected. Fast forward to 2024, has the game made a comeback? Is it worth your time to grind?

Glad ur back. Been playing MCC and Infinite since they launched on Steam on laptop w mouse and keyboard. I didn't grow up with the series, but I love halo's variety plus I like the memes and r / halodripfinite subreddit

Halo infinite is a day and night comparison from launch to now. I got back into it during the middle of season 5 and it was a blast, firefight made it even better too. This is what the game should’ve been at launch. Unfortunately it looks like they’re contributing more resources to the next halo game but we’re still getting good content. Whatever the next game will be better be a FULL game when it launches

I jumped back in after being disappointed the first 3 months of launch but its been fun Infinite is gonna be my regular multiplayer game now, im a casual but it reminds me of playing Halo back in 2005 minus the community (I dont have friends😭)

I'm looking for online game friends as well, struggle is real. Being a Dad and losing that time to have many mates to catch up with IRL sucks. Having some online mates to game with at night would be the dream.

It's not really developments fault more that management changed every 3 months at 343 and what there boss wanted changed constantly. Like all the people at 343 your mad at have been gone for a while now and there replacement too

@@tracey9888it’s also crazy that 343 could of pulled an Activision and just made a game for 2023 and went straight for profit, Microsoft failed 343 and the management did, the new team is doing amazing and I’m looking forward to seeing the future of halo, all these people hating infinite now are just pure haters after clicks and views and you can tell when they are absolute drunk of nostalgia, the older halo games are incredible but infinite is top 3 to me, I have faith in certain affinity and 343s next game

I'm a new player dabbling with the game on PC playing using mouse and keyboard. Just curious, at a point in the video you mentioned you play a lot of Tactical Slayer. Does this mode help level the field playing against controllers? Or do you just like that game mode more in general?

I like tactical slayer a lot because on pc my reaction time is much faster and I can snap to people’s heads faster than they can aim at me on controller. At least most of the time. 343 also added minor aim assist for mouse and keyboard, it just feels really good in general.

Halo infinites campaign is my 3rd favorite of the franchise and in the current state it’s in by far my favorite multiplayer. I love infinte

I feel sad that it's gottin to the point where we're praising a game for finally, FINALLY, reaching its true potential, which is, honestly, just being 1/5 the game its granddad was and 1/10 the game its great-granddad was. Even with HI now at its peak, it still feels like a bad and embarrassing time to be a Halo fan.

I liked the campaign a lot. I didn't cover it in the video because as far as I know it won't get any kind of follow up until the next game which is disappointing but it is what it is. I love and hate how much 343 built up in the story, we're finally back on a Halo Ring kicking ass and surrounded by so much mystery to uncover and it's interesting to see how they tied up the rogue Cortana events but left us with so many more questions that won't be answered until years from now. Wouldn't call it my favorite campaign but it's definitely a breath of fresh air and hits all the right beats for me personally. I'd love to replay it again for a proper 100% but I want to wait until the campaign is on sale because I originally played on Xbox and switched to PC. Overall, very good. Not perfect, but an enjoyable experience.

I have literally zero interest in playing online. My friends and I loved HALO 2 because of the couch co-op meaning we could get stoned and relax and play together, and inevitably wind up goofing off and doing stupid shit, but the series seemed to turn away from couch co-op - like a huge majority of games it seems - and I've heard conflicting things about HALO: Infinite. Some say it has couch co-op, some say it doesn't, some say co-op is only available online, some say the campaign is great, some say it's short and terrible, etc., etc. I'm not gonna dump $60 dollars on a title with that sort of uncertainty. As much as I *love* the series - the lore, the music, the characters, etc., - I can't bring myself to invest in a title that sounds like it's tailored solely to online play. I mean... Fuck you, Microsoft/343/anyone else, there's a reason video game consoles allow for multiple controllers.

It looks fun. I just don’t appreciate how the movies and show look more advanced and next level than the video game. the running the hand to hand combat doesn’t really look intriguing. Kind of dry more so. Lastly, the Spartans look really cool. what’s the point of looking cool if you can’t even see yourself play🤔🤔🤔
