I really like that Brute Chieftain helmet and the shoulders in that bundle but there's no way I'm paying £40 to buy 5000 credits to give me enough to buy it. Honestly since the launch of Infinite there's been a reasonable amount of stuff in the shop that I like, if it wasn't crazy overpriced or stuck in bundles I'd probably have been tempted by a lot more that I actually have.

Hey MAGPIE LEON, I have noticed that they have made it available to purchase the Surgeon M7 Sniper model on its own in the store if you look it up in the weapons model section for 600c (credits) so maybe this is the start or a hint to purchasing individual items in the store.

To be fair- One is free to play and the other isn't Plus helldivers armour directly affects stats where these are just purely cosmetic. And Helldivers does have premium warbonds which you do have to pay for from my understanding? I'm not saying there shouldn't be more free stuff in infinite mind you, I've heavily advocated for it since launch.

@MAGPIELEON the premium currency in helldivers 2 is earnable, and also purchasable at a much fairer rate than Halo Infinite. One is paid, but pretty much one suit and a bit in Halo Infinite's shop = almost rhe full price of HD2. I've spent way more than I should have in Infinite and played since beta, but I'm seriously fed up with how predatory the game is. There really is no excuse to be made anymore with such a great example newly released.

Yeah I get that, but I also don't think it's entirely fair to compare items that are purely cosmetic and have absolutely no impact on gameplay To a game that has cosmetics which DO affect your stats, meaning if they were all premium it would be pay to win. Armour on the store can be earned yes and that's great! But you do also have to pay for the warbonds and they can't be earned from gameplay (I think?) on top of the fact you already have to pay for the game And that's completely fine, they're delivering on the live service so I'm fine paying for warbonds in HD2, But i also don't think it's the fairest thing to compare infinite to.

It's not a perfect comparison, sure, but I think my point is more there is no excuse for Halo Infinite to continue with this model. Too late now, but seeing how well something like HD2 works and how pro-player it is compared to another video game, it really goes to show how predatory infinite continues to be and was designed to be from the ground up.

@H4L0GUY117 bro, Reach wasn't a LIVE SERVICE game. Plus, the sand box in Reach had variety of weapon types for the most part. Infinite has a plethora of precision weapons but barely any unique social gametype weapons. No fuel rod, plasma rifle, or even grenade launcher. The Bandit is the only new weapon they gave us in the 3 years since launch. Our complaints are pretty justified.

It's irritating that the "54 Cross-core coatings" thing turned out to be a dud, as of the 54 coatings, 53 were just updating existing cross-core coatings for the cores and kits that didn't have them (mostly Boggart and Wendigo). The patch notes included only one coating which is now truly cross core, Cloaked Dagger, which is unreleased.

This game is utterly directionless. Its comical that people still think these updates will have campaign updates and all of this other stuff that is very clearly never, ever going to be introduced. There's no team at 343 working towards making them happen, nor anyone at 343 that cares about Infinite, or even Halo as a whole, for that matter. Expect to see exclusively store updates moving forward into the Halo 7 announcement cycle. Then expect Halo 7 to be a shit cyclone at launch with a soul-crushing amount of microtransactions, bugs, and missing content, as well as a redundant story as empty as it is poorly written. The player base will drop off after three weeks. The bugs will finally get patched around the six month mark. People will get blamed and fired and commentators will cover the news as if it'll change anything. A "big content update" will hit about a year in and the game will experience a spike in active players for three months because, "the new people on the job are fixing the game!" Then it'll go into a content slump. Then it'll be another steady trickle of store updates. There's your forecast for the next four or five years. Have fun.

@MAGPIELEON There wouldn't have been one or the other either way. Infinite was supposed to be a bandaid for 5. 343 had to bring something to the table to meet quota, and this is what they dropped. It's filler. Only 343 could manage to fumble filler. It's obviously built to fund the development of Halo 7 (which should be 6), but it landed like an ODST with no legs and isn't generating anywhere near what it needs to fund future development, which is why there were layoffs. I don't think layoffs were severe enough. They should have lost their developer rights to the IP entirely. Only in today's market could a developer drop the ball this hard and not get dismantled completely by their publisher. They're probably only still around because of their heritage and because it would be more embarrassing for Microsoft to beach the ship rather than fire the crew. They've probably got a gun to their head right now. I'm betting right now that if 343 fumbles the next title, Microsoft pulls the licensing.

Man these changes are horrible all in all, even the exchange is a scam for your personal time. Weapons are constantly being changed, when they should be added instead of reworked or superfied.
