Halo Infinite is an upcoming first-person shooter game developed by 343 Industries and published by Xbox Game Studios. The sixth main entry in the Halo series, it continues the story of the Master Chief, following Halo 5: Guardians (2015). Unlike previous installments in the series, the multiplayer portion of the game is free-to-play.
Infinite was planned to be released as a launch title with the Xbox Series X/S on November 10, 2020, but was delayed in August 2020. It is planned to release on December 8, 2021, for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Halo Infinite's multiplayer component has been in open beta since November 15, 2021, which was to commemorate the franchise and Xbox's 20th anniversary.

The worst/best part of this series is watching John become human again. Say what you will about the overall story for Halo 4, I will never not sob at Cortana being able to touch John for the first time and every moment where he slips like this is heartbreaking. She's gone, he can't reconcile that. Sometimes that's what happens, especially in war. When you haven't been given the ability to be human, it hits hard enough to make up the difference with interest.

I liked how the Weapon has been written in Halo Infinite. I think it helped the Master Chief to carry himself on after losing Cortana. She's got a great sense of humour though. Jen Taylor have made an wonderful portraying the Weapon. Oh and by the way, she has also a resemblance to Cortana though.

I love the Weapon I adore her she's cute, funny, and adventurous, at first I was skeptical about her and how she would fit to the story, but after playing the campaign alongside her I welcome her to the team. But one question still remains in my head and it is very troubling. WARNING SPOILER ALERT WHO EVER PLAYED THE CAMPAIGN READ THE REST OF THE MY COMMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could they have brought CORTANA back if there was an alternative I mean it's so hard to say goodbye to someone I've known through Halo Combat Evolved to Halo 4

SPOILERS: The problem is Cortana had already committed too many unforgivable acts. When she hit Earth with an EMP, at least 100,000 people died from what I remember reading. She literally blew up the Brute homeworld because Atriox refused to submit to her authority. Which was made even more terrible by the fact that Atriox is not the leader of his entire race. Cortana killed billions instantly out of spite towards one member of his species. Those are just two examples of massive losses of life caused directly by her actions. Nevermind she nearly had the entire known galaxy locked down and subjugated. No one would have forgiven her. No one would have trusted her. Even if Master Chief retrieved her, they would both forever be on the run. He would have a huge target on his head for the rest of his life. Every Halo game with Master Chief and Cortana from that point forward would be a sci-fi fugitive simulator. As you see during the game, Cortana realized how badly she had screwed up. Her actions have ultimately left the galaxy in a worse position. Not a better one. She herself became guilty of the same conceits that made many of the Forerunners think of themselves as gods. It was over for her. She found herself cornered and her only chance of redemption was self sacrifice. The Cortana we had all come to love ceased to be at the end of Halo 4. We were left with a genocidal megalomaniac after that.

She sacrificed herself when there was no real reason to outside of setting things right. She orchestrated her own capture and deletion. A being still in love with its own power and with a drive to rule wouldn't have done or said those things. I don't think there is a veiled meaning here. I think the writers were going for a pretty black and white "I screwed up. Here's your chance to fix it all"
