Y'know, the way you use the pelican here is actually really cool. I almost wish there was a mission in Halo 3 like this where you're flying in a pelican and giving air-support to your buddies on the ground.

Hey I was wondering how you managed to get the pelican to fly on the Ark. I attempted although when I made every "interaction unknown" to -1 it still stuck halfway through the ground. Not only that, but when I set the animation seat to be "warthog_d" I was still unable to fly it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!. I also unchecked "invalid to drive"

He did it with mods... JK :D It's a Halo dev tool called assembly, since every Halo uses the same game engine it work from CE all the way up to Halo 4. Only parts of Halo 5 pc though since 343 encrypted the files in that game.
