It actually makes sense that this is a teaser for halo 6 created way back when 343 decided to make Cortana evil in Halo 5. The desertish landscape and the circular ark rings could be zeta halo, the ring that was seen in the new Halo:Infinite Trailer and the secret ending of Halo 5. That would also explain Chief’s broken helmet when Locke broke it mid Halo 5’s campaign. Chief looking at Cortana’s empty drive could’ve reminded him of what she has become. Also, this is a huge theory but the guardian may not actually be one of Cortana’s fleet but it could be mendicant bias or atleast part of him since the Guardian glows gold/yellow instead of blue. That same part where Chief glances at the drive could be justification that Chief must partner up with Bias and go to any lengths to stop Cortana.

Ever since this trailer was shown at E3, all anyone ever talks about is how he is wearing the cloak over his armor. The most obvious reason for this is to hide him from the viewer until the precise moment his appearance will have the greatest impact. Aside from that though, I think there is another reason for him wearing the cloak. I think his armor is broken. Maybe not completely, but just enough that he wears the cloak. The last time you see Chief is at the end of Halo 4 during the Didact's monologue. While Chief is walking through all the other Spartans, we get plenty of close ups on his armor. It's looks to be in near perfect shape aside from some of the scaring and scraping on his chest. In this trailer though, which takes place some unknown amount of time after Halo 4, his armor is much worse off. Quite a bit of the green has been scrapped away all over his armor. I think the most telling part in all of it though is that his visor is cracked and it's cracked pretty good. At 1:42. you can clearly see how damaged it is in the right corner of his visor (His right, not ours). 1:52 gives you an even better view of it. It looks like the right side of his visor was smashed or struck by something. I can't wait to see what could do that kind of damage to the Chief or what direction this game is going to take if his armor is that damaged and clearly hasn't been repaired in quite some time. I'm still hoping Chief gets outfitted with Forerunner armor at some point. Like the armor seen in one of the Halo Origins anime shorts.

That fact that Chiefs visor is cracked in this trailer leads me to believe that this is after math of Halo 5. If you played halo 5 you know how he gets his helmet cracked. One thing to point out is look at that guardian, notice how it has yellow eyes and has legs. The guardians we see in halo 5 have blue eyes and didn't have legs but did have a long tail, the one in the trailer doesn't not look like the guardians seen in halo 5. That makes me Believe that chief stumbles upon mendicant bias. What better way to fight the smartest A.I then with the strongest A.I in the universe.

This is really Halo 6's trailer, just look at master chief's visor, it got broken in Halo 5, Halo wars 2 takes place in the ark between Halo 5 and 6 and this trailer looks a lot like its in the ark, there's what looks like a Halo ring in this trailer, at the end of Halo 5 (legendary ending) we see a Halo ring and I'm sure that there's one too in the Halo ward 2 ending. I get the feeling that originally Halo 5 was supposed to be a bigger game and we were going back to see these events in the campaign but they probably had to cut some stuff because of the focus on co-op and probably lack of time too because what we saw in this trailer was very different to what saw in the 2014 and 2015 trailers and the game that we got. I really hope that this trailer is relevant for Halo 6 because it is one of my favorite Halo trailers ever.

+Coco Forkner People were thinking that in Halo 6 your squad would just be Chief, Locke, Palmer, and Arbiter with Halsey to replace Cortana on comms going to the next Halo ring (which could be in this video). Blue Team with Jun and Osiris with Dare might join the rest of the UNSC on Earth fighting a Promethean invasion. And in Halo Wars 2 half of the game might be you getting back to UNSC controlled space while being chased by the old Covenant and the Brutes then coming back to defend a colony or human controlled planet.
