God I'm crying. Halo was my childhood and still is my favorite game but to see what they are doing to the series that saved my life hurts so much. This song reminds me of the love we had and that we lost. I miss RvB, RT, the old Halo PvP, the machinimas, the OG lore(for those who don't know 343 after making 5 changed the original lore everywhere to fit THEIR canon. Now you can't find the OG anywhere), and by God I miss the community both good and bad. Me and my buddy used to play it everyday from 2 all the way to Reach and 4! Even helped some new and rusty players hone their skills from time to time even though it was boring to just walk around and get shot until they got their aim in/back. God I miss those days ;_; Thank you Skull for reminding me of them. Now I'm going to go cry in this corner.

They swapped around major events, added new ones where there wasn't before, and outright deleted some of it. Including some characters and stories that Bungie confirmed as canon long before they sold off Halo. But I'm not going to get into a debate/argument about this. The only thing they did this with is Halo: Reach and where master chief was during the events of it. this is because BUNGIE made two conflicting stories and 343 decided what was canon. You cannot give me an answer on what 343 changed, because they did not change anything on this scale

@@IAMSONICTH3H3DG3H0G ok first: Chief was ALWAYS at Reach. That was how he was on the Spirit of Autumn during the events of Halo:CE. Bungie made that pretty fucking obvious he was fighting in New Alexandria until He was pulled back into the reserve to be Cortana's guardian after she chose him. Second: They swapped around the main timeline. The Banished war was meant to happen during another of Humanities internal wars with some rebels and the eradication war with the covenant remnants causing everyone to focus on the Banished. During the Banished war Chief found Cortana alive and willing to come back in a place very similar to what 343 portrayed in 5 just not the exact same (no Warden Eternal I.e). During the war Cortana's view and morals started to change as she saw sentient beings fight each other for illogical reasons becoming more imperialistic and started to recruit other AIs to her way of thinking. After the Banished war had basically wiped everyone's ability to fight Cortana and the other AIs started the construct war and turned against the UNSC and their allies causing SEVERE damage to the UNSCs infrastructure and non depleted military forces. That was as far as I got in the main timeline before I stopped reading and thought it'd be there next time I want to read. Now the stories they erased: Battle of Edan, The Reach Chronicles (the name of an old book with multiple short inspirational stories told about various Spartans, ODST, and regular marine units doing acts of heroism and valor ultimately perishing), That Elite assassin who got into the escape pod with Keyes during Halo:CE (they re-canoned that one but I'm gonna mention it anyway), "Black" Squad (a SF squad tasked with doing horrible things during the covenant wars like killing Sangheili females and committing various acts of high risk sabotage. Apparently they are responsible for a genocide of one the covenant species though it was never elaborated on what), and a lot of information on the Flood's capabilities and various forms but I think that was an accident since a lot of it is back and some is even shown in Halo Wars 2 DLC. Stuff they added: they added retired Spartans that were previously just KIA'd (I don't mind that change tbf), they added random Spartan II's and III's in places where they shouldn't be (i.e they added a Spartan II in the battle of New Mombasa???), and they've now added a species that was somehow WORSE than the flood?? That the forerunners were able to put into stasis? I would continue adding but my phone is starting to lag trying to keep up with everything I'm typing. Listen you can believe me or don't IDC It's the truth take it or leave it. It's not like anything can be done about it nowadays anyway. 343 already fucked the series over (Dare you to disagree on that haha). Have a nice day/night.

The "Still human after all" was really fitting because i was literally like 20 minutes ago, reading the novel "Halo: The Flood" at school and read over the part where Major Silva of the ODST Helljumpers called the Master Chief a "freak" for being a Spartan.
