Like the Spartan IIs, the Spartan IIIs were trained from an early age. But unlike the IIs who were abducted and forced into service, the IIIs were all volunteers largely recruited from orphans who lost their families to the Covenant. The picture Carter had was probably his parents. He probably kept them at the front of his mind as the needles and screws did their painful work of turning him into a super soldier. The pain was worth it if it meant fighting the enemy that killed his parents and preventing the creation of more orphans like himself.

I think just about everything that can be said about this trailer has been said. So I will say this: the music for this trailer is what makes it, in my opinion. One of my top 3 Halo commercials of all time (the other 2 being “We Are ODST” and the entirety of the “Believe” series). If anyone knows where I can find just the music, I will be eternally grateful.

The Spartan-IV's are basically the successful version of Project Orion, also known as the original Spartan program. they're people trained as ODST's and Marines whom volunteer, and then are augmented and further-trained, then issued the MJOLNIR Gen2 armor, rather than the Mk. Why the hell did ONI have Spartans perform suicidal missions when an average spartan costed more than a UNSC ship?
@superdougie46376 жыл бұрын
Spartan 3s typically went on more dangerous missions than the other spartan classes because there were far more of them, they were a lot cheaper to produce because their augmentation procedures did everything through injections and not surgery due to advanced science. Also the 3s usually had cheap armor that was called SPI armor, only the best Spartan 3s had Mjorlnir armor.
@Draynor2 жыл бұрын
I don't typically respond to old comments, but the whole point of the Spartan III program was to trade lives for time. Unlike the Spartan IIs who were abducted at young ages such as Jorge and the Chief, the IIIs were orphans whose families were by the Covenant and wanted revenge. Due to advancements in science, the augmentations were alot safer compared to the time of the IIs and their armor being hella lot cheaper to produce, they were around 300+ Spartan IIIs.
